What a lovely slice of beach! The parking was great! The beach was clean and had nice white sand. It wasn't too crowded (visited on a Monday lunchtime hour). The bathrooms were clean. There was a Kona Shaved Ice truck and a place you could...More

We enjoyed our stay on the island with it’s nice sandy shore line. Nice beaches along this section of the coast are hard to find. There is a $5.00 parking charge which isn’t unreasonable especially if you are making a day out of your excursion....More

Clean beach, clean rest rooms very safe beach. mostly retirees and families on the beach, younger people seem to park on the causeway. 5$ parking fee good for the day. Definately worth the trip.

Small island connected to the mainland by a causeway. Paid parking, lifeguards, sandy beaches, water sports, and a few fiddler crabs. Quite family spot with palm trees and amazing sunsets! Just lovely!

Quiet, white sand, shade palms, clean bath house! What else do you want from a beach? For me I guess the answer is 'the ocean.' This is a gulf beach so the water is (usually) calm and still (no waves), warm as a bathtub in...More

The beach stretches on both sides, with areas for fishing, boating, and swimming. Unfortunately the water was chilly, so we just waded along the shore. The sand was more little pebbles and shells than preferred, but otherwise the park is lovely.

No, there is not any overnight camping in this park or any other park around the general area. Howard and most other county/city parks are accessible from dawn to dusk in this area.

Yes. Go to Pinellas County website. Parks and Recreation. Different prices for military, seniors, etc. Pass is good for all Pinellas County parks.
