Sunday mornings offer many tasty Thai food stalls, a small Thai vegetable market, and lots of home grown orchids for sale. Very informal, very friendly folks. Adjacent Buddhist temple is open to the public.

We visit the Temple at least once a year for lunch. Be prepared because I don't think males OR females can enter the temple itself if you are wearing shorts. Also, you have to remove your shoes. I think the food is cash only and...More

My friends and I decided to have brunch at the Wat Mongkolrata Thai Temple. The scenery was so peaceful, orchids in colorful bloom, under the shade of the oak trees on the Hillsborough River. There are benches dotted along the path for you to sit...More

We come here often, probably once a month, for their Sunday morning Thai food events. Others have detailed out the various foods they serve, all of it is very good. Parking can be an issue, and the lines can be long for some dishes (like...More

After reading other reviews my wife and I visited the temple on Sunday before noon. The temple community sells Thai food of all kinds, soups, fried chicken, pad thai, desserts, spring rolls and lots more. The generous portions are generally about $5 and are delicious....More

Crowded, such a popular spot... enjoy a walkabout, meditate, enjoy the water view, or savor in a meal. A terrific place to spend some time. Their Sunday market is always hopping, and usually crowded these days. We enjoy the plants, edible and otherwise, the fresh...More

Great place to spend time. Meditate, read, take in the water view. Sunday market is great, although a bit crowded nowadays. Fresh produce, plants and Thai food offerings. Santipap!

The temple and grounds are very interesting. On Sundays there is an amazing brunch buffet of Thai food. Seating is casual and may include other parties. Children can run on the large lawn.

I did find this schedule. It appears that they do have a ceremony, so I don't think they are open as usual as this appears to be a ceremony for the monks. Perhaps you can call and check. I found this on their website. I hope... More

It's free! Obviously you pay for the food depending on what you get. You can respectfully enter the temple and little to a talk
