An absolute must when in Tallahasse. A beautiful architecture within pretty gardens. The house tour is worth every penny. The ladies are so lovely and know almost everyhing about the history of the place and its inhabitants. Big thumbs up!

Forget the gardens, this is just a mansion. It is mostly run by volunteers and it's not perfect at all. This just adds to the fascination we felt. It is very authentic and we felt like on a journey back in time. Thanks to our guide Barbara for sharing her fascination with us for more than two hours!

We go here mainly for fundraisers in their barn-like conference/reception area. Always a nice time - and beautifully-maintained property.

A true gem for visitors and residents alike! Unlike many "house museums ," the furniture is authentic to the house and its owners. The docents are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely proud to share the house and the history with visitors. The grounds are beautiful and provide the perfect setting.

The mansion and grounds are very well kept. The tour was very interesting and informative. The mansion has an amazing collection of books, antiques, furniture, housewares, and clothing amassed from the prior owners of the plantation. A large carriage house is available for events. We had a great time spending a few hours on the grounds.

Visited Goodwood Plantation with a couple of friends. The estate has several buildings perfectly restored. There is the Mansion, centrally located and surrounded by gardens, as well as the Irish maids' quarters, water tower, tennis court, swimming pool and stable. Don't miss the Mansion tour given by volunteers well versed in the history of the place, and the antiques and... More

We have had the opportunity to visit many old homes and mansions across the US., on this one ranks high on the scale. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Their openness of the tour is unprecedented form what the norm that we have found.

The Goodwood Museum and Gardens given you a great view into the past. The home has been restored and the grounds are lovely. The volunteers make the tour so interesting with lots of details of the families that lived there. The outer buildings each have a history of their own. You can also have weddings there!

Goodwood Mansion is a beautiful antique filled home. Before you go in , the docent tells you the history of the families that lived there. Our docent was in character and costume throughout our tour. It was interesting and well worth seeing. None of the other little buildings were open. The grounds are pretty but in a more natural state... More

What a history, our docent was most informative. he spent a couple of hours taking us through the history of the area and the owners, fascinating. So much of the home is original along with the furniture.Take some time to feel the history of Goodwood, as it represents a living part of the past.
