Fun State Park

This is a fine state park in Ocala, with a great location near restaurants, hotels, and stores. This isn't close to the interstate, however. This place has many fun activities, so... read more

Lots of trails in and out of the sun. Boardwalks, sidewalks and rustic trails available. Most in view of the river and head springs. Saw some otters playing in the head springs. Butterflies and flowers. Lovely morning.

See one of the original attractions. So lovely. The glass bottom boat is surprisingly entertaining, not a bad seat- the kids loved it and the guide was on point. There are trails and lots to enjoy if you would just like a quiet walk in the woods. Looked like an amazing place to canoe and kayak.

This is a fine state park in Ocala, with a great location near restaurants, hotels, and stores. This isn't close to the interstate, however. This place has many fun activities, so I recommend it. There are cabins, horse trails, glass bottom boats, and more!

Park is gorgeous with natural surroundings dings and complete tranquility. We enjoyed walking the grounds and the glass bottom boat tour. We then visited the other half near the campground and walked some of the trails. It was beyond quiet and almost every as we didn't see a single bird or another person. Cabins are quite nice from the outside... More

The river is easy to navigate in a kayak. They rent them at the park and help you launch and also to get out when you return. The water is clear, especially over the springs. It was fun seeing a few groups of monkeys along the banks. Other wildlife is along the banks also. Only one gator seen and several... More

On a recent kayak trip to the springs, we marveled at the crystal clear water with so much wildlife. It is manatee season and we were not disappointed. A huge manatee went right by my kayak and played in the area for some time. Also saw so many beautiful water foul, fish, turtles, and alligators. Silver Springs is easy to... More

Enjoyed a lovely trip here. The 90 minute glass bottom boat tour was terrific. Alligators, turtles, A variety of birds & fish, a manatee, and even a monkey were seen along with the water springs. Boat pilot was very informative and much appreciated his tales and his love of this area. There is a 30 minute movie at center that... More
