We stayed at Sea Shell on Crescent Beach. It's a very nice beach and has public access. We like to walk and you can walk for miles if you want to. The sand is white, fine and does not get hot.

This beach has sand that doesn't get hellishly hot, so you can easily prance around barefooted. Very clean and very nice. Highly recommended!

Love the flour-like sand which stays cool since it's ground quartz. Plenty of parking. Great for kids because the Gulf is never rough. Plenty of places to rent, right across from the beach, at reasonable fees.

We were within walking distance to this beach so we came here the first two days of vacation. The water was clear and warm, but by the second day, there was a lot of seaweed coming in. We didn't see much of that 1.5 miles...More

I prefer crescent beach over siesta only because its private and quaint. Right next to the point of rocks, and the Siesta Key dude lives right at the end where point of rocks is located. I took some pics of his house. Cool to experience...More

Best shells and largest selection is at Point of Rocks! Wear water shoes and take a shovel or rake to poke into tidal pools. I always walk across the Sea Wall to find the best Treasures. Much easier at Low Tide to walk... More
