Last year was Sweet Charity. Today was Singin’ In The Rain. Are these perfect productions? Sometimes. Are these excellent? Consistently yes. While this theatre is okay, there are plans for its replacement. But the talent and quality needs no upgrading. Pick something you like and...More

This is a wonderful local theater in downtown Sarasota. The venue is small and intimate - so no bad seats. Plenty of parking, friendly staff. We saw The 1940 Radio Hour and it was very enjoyable show. Definitely worth taking in a show.

We were there for "Arsenic and Old Lace" in August. Frankly, although some actors were at the same level as those in university or low-level professional productions, others were more at the level of high school and perhaps primary school productions. The actual theatre was...More

Went to see the "Marvelous Wonderettes" which was chock full of fun. Good performances all around and the energy on stage was electric! No, they didn't hit some of their notes but nobody cared. If you want an honest, earnest experience, this is the place...More

A medium sized theatre with big time performance. Adequate parking. Easily accessible. It's not the most upscale theater in Sarasota but, the performance ("The Marvelous Wonderettes") was superb. Good music and sound performances. As a plus, ticket prices a exceptionally reasonable.

Been to several of their Broadway shows and never been disappointed. Easy to park at the theatre or on the street. Very comfortable seating, but auditorium always on the chilly side. Can thoroughly recommend.

We got tickets at the last minute, and thoroughly enjoyed the last performance of Sweet Charity here. The theater had a cozy, friendly atmosphere that we liked. The lead actress was phenomenal in her role, and made the show very entertaining. We plan to check...More

Just saw Sweet Charity. It was an energetic and well done performance. A real delight. The theatre is comfortable with good sight lines. The staging was very good. We will add this to our theatre experiences when in Sarasota.

Recently went to The Players Theatre and really enjoyed both the theatre and the performance of "Sweet Charity" that we attended. It was our first time there and first time seeing this musical. I'm tall and I found the legroom between the seat in front...More

Depends on the show. Most shows start at 7 or 8pm. And are usually 2 -3 hours depending on which show it is. ON the players website they usually show how long each show is.
