Great layout and could be a truly terrific golf course. Don’t know if they are financially in trouble, or just have poor management. Fairways have lots of bare spots and the roughs are atrocious. Green are not to bad and traps are inconsistent. Played this...More

Fun cart loading, nicely greeted. Pro shop offered better deal with discount card. Failed to mention there was no restaurant. Would give credit for partial round when no lunch available. British course was muddy. Lots of muck. Greens in nice shape.

The only good thing about this course was it was in decent condition. We arrived at Bobby Jones the other day for a late afternoon tee time. There was no other car in the parking lot and no one out on the course. We were...More

We played this municipal course 2 years ago and it was awful: dirt patches, crabgrass, dead grass, terrible greens. This year we tried again, after hearing that they had replaced the greens. The greens are nice, not great, but consistent. The grass around the greens...More

This course is slated to be redone, and none too soon! Fairways are pretty much dirt and weeds. Tee boxes uneven, and in same condition as the fairways. On the plus side, rates were low for this time of year in Fl., and the greens...More

Played both the American and the British course. The greens were in great shape. Fairways were only fair but playable. Got to see some great wildlife including a few gators. I play this course every January. Very friendly staff also.

I played the British course, which is only a way they differentiate between the courses. It is NOT a British-style course. Very wide open fairways, greens were smooth and fair, sand in traps was loose and not compacted. Not particularly challenging, but great for a...More

Although I have been golfing in the Sarasota area for 6 years, I have stayed away from Bobby Jones because any reviews I could find were negative. This year I decided to give it a try and see for myself. I played the British course,...More
