Overview
More
Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary provides a sanctuary "for life" for the exotic animals currently calling the sanctuary home. Our goal is to create habitats that mimic native environments and are complete with a staff that can provide daily behavioral, sensory, and manipulative enrichment which is the basis for a happy healthy animal in captivity. As we grow and open our habitat to more rescues we will provide the same excellent care while educating the public.

Amazing place to visit and support with your donations to preserve this wild life sanctuary. Well cared for, clean and well loved animals. Left with a good feeling that this 9 generation family will continue to do good work on behalf of these fabulous animals.

Took 5 kids ages 1,8,11,12,16 they all had fun. The show was good but a little crowded. Lot of animals to see.

It's not really a zoo - all the animals are donated, but there are plenty to see. Some are exotic like ligers (lion + tiger), some are petting zoo types like goats and chickens but kids like seeing them all. Kids can feed certain animals...More

I was not that excited to go here, but was glad I went. There is a wide variety of animals and you get to see them up close. There was a show that I really didn't want to see, but again, I'm glad I did....More

It's obvious that this family-owned non-profit organization works with their hearts. They would continue their mission no matter what. They promote animal welfare by providing a home for big cats that have been given up or turned in to the authorities. Don't miss the educational...More

I wrote a true and correct submission to Trip adviser, recently. As noted in the text, were my sources of legal information concerning "Big Cat Habitat". Even though we went to see the Big Cats, we were disappointed. The time was spent on a monkey and some dogs. 1/2 the show was a commentary meant to extract money from a captive audience. Within the sources given, animal rights organizations and years of Government intervention attempts of violations done by Big Cat are a lost cause. My Question to Trip Advisor.....Is it a problem, not to print my submission, under the guise of review? I did my homework and provided the information , so you can do yours. If it is not your policy to tell the truth, then I will only continue to provide nicer things. I am guessing. this will not be printed either.
