Went to this Aquarium with my adult sons and wife's. They were all surprised by the size and content. We all enjoyed the "touch" pools, where you could actually touch some of the aquatique creatures. The staff were well informed and pleasant to talk to. You will see manatees eating lettuce, sharks, sting rays and otters. You can easily spend... More

So cute, had such a lovely time while learning a lot too. Especially loved seeing the sting rays because they were just as friendly as the staff, definitely worth a visit and would recommend to anyone especially to those with love for animals like me, dragged my parents with me and they ended up enjoying just as much, such an... This aquarium has lots to see. There were also helpful volunteers who gave us additional information about the sharks, hermit crabs and other sea life.

I've been to night and better aquariums but this was focused on some local sea life and conservation related issues. Definitely worth a ride if you're within 30 miles. Plan on 2-3 hours at the least.

We have visited here before and at my husbands request we went back. My kids love it every time we go. It is not so big that they tire easy but just big enough to feel we are getting our moneys worth.

I live less than a mile from Mote and can't get enough of the aquarium! Out of town visitors always have Mote on their "To Do" list no matter how many times they have visited. It truly is fascinating. The large tank with various specimens from our local waters is interesting & entertaining (check out the jumping, spitting fish!) for... More

How refreshing to observe just some of the work and research being done at this wonderful institution particularly as one regularly reads about the destruction of coral reefs being caused by man's negligence. It gives one hope. Watching coral actually being grown and regenerated and sea horses just born today are just two of the memories being taken away from... More

This isn't a SeaWorld kind of aquarium, it's more of an exhibit heavy research facility. That's not to say it's education first, because there is a lot to look at, but it's a bit less polished than some other places, but that doesn't mean it's not better. There are hundreds of sea horses, cuttlefish, jellyfish, and some really great fish... More
