An Old Florida attraction since 1939, Sarasota Jungle Gardens allows visitors to experience things you won't find anywhere else. Feed free-roaming flamingos, watch parrots ride bicycles, catch lemurs at play, stare down a vulture, or pet a skunk. Be sure to visit the Flamingo Cafe for a refreshing lunch or snack. Enjoy one or more of our acclaimed animal shows. Annual events include Holiday Lights, select nights in December, and Jungle Trails and Bunny Tails, every year on Good Friday.

A very small zoo that doesn't take much time to view. The staff does a great job and are very informative. The grounds are extremely nice as the walkways are lined with trees and vegetation which helps keep it shaded. Geared more towards younger kids....More

Outstanding place to take young and middle ages kids. Lots of fun with the animals in cages and free. Especially wonderful at Easter with their egg hunt.

The kids can feed the huge flock of flamingos by hand. It's a terriffic way to spend an afternoon with the kids. Parrot and bird shows and explanations by docents about the different animals. The kid's will be entranced!
