If you never experienced the Ringling Circus under the big top-- you’re probably not that old-- this is as close to that experience as you can possibly get. From the incredible scale model of the circus complex, to Ringling’s private rail car, to the collection of horse-drawn parade vehicles, to the history of the clowns, the aerialists, and the animals... The Ringling is a place that everyone loves. Even if you are not a fan of museums you will like this museum. See the miniature Ringling models. Enjoy lunch in their cafe. Buy gifts in there unique gift shop. There is a trolley if you need help getting around or would enjoy riding around the lovely grounds. Art enthusiast will... More

My mom was having a difficult day and couldn't walk much. Between the golf carts and wheelchair she got to see it all.

Many others have commented on this great place to visit. Now, would you like to go for free. Then go on Mondays. You can visit the art museum, linger in the beautiful Venetian style museum courtyard, or walk the wonderful grounds all the way out to Sarasota Bay. Sorry, you can't enter the other museums in the complex for free.... More

We liked the grounds, the museum of the circus - brought back great memories of seeing the circus in the old Madison Square Garden in NYC - and the house. However, the art museum is spectacular. I have been to the Art Institute, Chicago, The Met in NYC, The Lourve, The Hermitage, The Tate, and many other art museums around... More

I reluctantly visited this site with my wife and friends on our visit. Although I always loved the circus (going almost yearly when my children were young), my instinct was that this was a quasi-theme park or just a very hokey museum. Boy was I wrong. It has lots of the original items used by the Ringling Brothers Circus along... More

We spent about three hours at The Ringling between checking out of our hotel and catching our flight back home. Wish we had had more time. The Howard Bros. Museum of Miniatures was absolutely fascinating. The amount of detail, time, patience and talent on display was mind boggling. The Circus Museum was interesting as well. We skipped the mansion due... Two museums in one... I love the now-ended Greatest Show On Earth, so I loved their museum. I'll have to admit I could have missed the art collection and would have survived, but that might have been just me or the day. Much of the millions of dollars worth of art is Mural-sized with middle-ages or religious themes, and that... More
