My wife and I spent many hours on our recent visit walking along this idyllic beach. I just couldn't believe the 'sugar white' sand -- I've never seen anything like it before. Such a beautiful place to relax and unwind. The water is clear and...More

Beautiful beach, less crowded than Siesta Key, and we didn't have to pay to park. While we were there, some workers from Mote Marine Laboratory released a large loggerhead turtle they had been rehabilitating. So cool!

What an amazing day! The beach is pure powder! There are gorgeous shells everywhere! We kayaked with a local company here. The water is crystal clear! I love it here!

I met my friend at this beach, it is overlooked often due to the top rated and popular Siesta Key beach which was full when we tried to go there on Saturday. We found some spots here and enjoyed equally nice white sand, and found...More

While not as "magnificent" as Siesta or perhaps other big-named beaches, it's a great alternative, especially if you have young kids. Not terribly crowded (April / Easter Break Midweek), short walk from parking to water-line, some concessions and bathrooms. There's also a playground and public...More
