The park was beautiful and very large. The Canopy Walk was closed due to flooding. They offer an airboat tour but we were already booked for one on the Peace River the next day so we passed. We drove around looking for gators and wildlife...More

Great place to camp or just visit. The airboat tour was great and very inexpensive. The lake and river are both beautiful and abundant with fish. And did I mention alligators? Right down the road is a National Veterans Cemetery. If you are camping and...More

Bring bug spray! Be sure to take cover of it starts to rain, or at least lightning. I wish I could post the video. Haha! Anyway, a great time for all, teens & kids. Wildlife. Beautiful scenery for pics! Gators!

If you are into things that craw and swim, this is for you. Nice boat ride, need bug spray! Your car will need to be washed after you leave! Good fishing, if you have nerve!

We tried to stop on our way to Venice and went to the wrong entrance which was closed. A lot of time wasted and the ranger said fifty percent of the people make the same mistake. Enter off SR 72 to main entrance. Having said...More

Myakka state park is huge. You can easily spend a whole day exploring. If you want to see giant gators, look no further than the very first bridge you drive over! These guys are numerous and massive. Dogs are allowed to hike with you, but...More

I LOVE this park for viewing Florida at its best. Great place to go to walk and see alligators. This is a place to bring the whole family to spend time together with nature.

Always a good time! We never know what we might see! This visit provided us with an up close view of 10 young alligators crossing in front of our car! Wow! Doesn't get any better then that! Great visit for people of any age!

We saw a scooter for a handicapped person, but my sense is that a golf cart would not work. You would have to be mobile to enter the boat tour and the walk. Suggest you check with park services for handicap access.
