This beach is right before the bridge that connects Sanibel to Captiva. We stopped by and looked but didn't stay because the beach was quite small and the parking was $5/hr. What's with the paid parking at all of the beaches in Sanibel? I think...More

Nice long beach for walking and shelling. Great sunset spot. Very, very limited parking. Worth the drive along the island to get there.

This was a our last beach to visit as the parking is so difficult, only about 24 spaces. Costs you $5 per hour to be here and it is strictly enforced with $75 fines. Beach is probably the smallest on the island. We were super...More

This beach has easy parking and access, millions of beautiful shells and a stunning view of the gulf. We loved it here.

Great spot to ride your bike to. Grab lunch nearby and pedal home for a nice swim or whatever......Fish were biting the day I was there.

Just over Blind Pass bridge joining Sanibel with Captiva. Close to small shopping, groceries, pub and several decent restaurants. Great fishing off the bridge, groin and beach and just the right amount of parking to never be crowded.

What a difference in appearance now after the hurricane(s). The sands are still lovely, but I try to figure out how those storms could have discombobulated the beaches to such a degree. Sandbars are here and there. Shell piles are fun to dig through. People...More

Nice beach, good fishing.Caught black drum, snook and redfish in the pass.Note the tide rips through pretty good.We fished with lures and live shrimp.Rated a four due to costly parking for all but lucky enough to have a local pass.

Shelling is usually good all year, but keep in mind that one day you might find a ton of shells at a given beach and nothing the next day. The two most popular beaches are Lighthouse and Blind Pass. It's best to get a tide... More

May be a bit late on this-sorry! South seas island resort is nice if you prefer a resort type place to stay. A bit pricy, but plenty of amenities to keep everyone busy.

I am not sure when the beach closes (if at all) but it is crowded at sunset!
