We visited Sanibel for a month and found the library a terrific resource. From the outstanding shell exhibit in the entrance lobby to the spacious interior with lots of comfortable seating and places to relax, read, or research, the library is exceptional. For a modest $10 fee, one can get a library card good for one year. We particularly enjoyed... More

On our fourth visit to the island, we finally made it to the library after reading all the great reviews on TripAdvisor. I wish I had come at the beginning of our visit and purchased a visitor library card. However, we did visit the library four days in a row because my kids could not get enough of the toys,... More

We visited this library while on vacation on Sanibel. During the summer months they offered free activities for our children. Fun!

I was surprised when I saw the top rated thing to do in Sanibel was the Library. I am so glad a spent a morning there. I had some work to do and found the porch with rocking chairs on the back of the library. Great morning to work in a beautiful setting. You won't miss the shell collection as... More

For being a relatively small island, this library is excellent. It offers various programs, computer lab, as well as a superb selection of reading materials.

This library is exceptional! Very helpful and friendly staff. Great computer room, guest author series, informational speakers, DVD and audio book selections. Since Sanibel has so many short term visitors, they even have cooking utensils for specific recipes you can borrow. Well worth a visit.

We visited the Sanibel Public Library on a hot and humid day as a break from outdoor activities. It is such a wonderful attraction for Sanibel visitors, and if I lived on Sanibel full time I would bring my family there frequently. There is a huge children's section with tons of toys and activities, including a stage, imaginative play area,... More

Get your Internet here, movies, and good books. The service is pleasant. Good parking too! The library location is marked by signage. The location is in the interior away from the beach. Smart move because otherwise people would park here for beach use.
