Went two afternoons in a row about an hour before low tide and saw several families of dolphins within feet of the shore. One pod had 2 babies! We found the most Shells at this beach and after the storms the water was calmer here...More

Pay to park? Just to look at a lighthouse that is a metal frame and not very interesting. I just stopped in the circle to let my wife take a few pics.

You can get to the Island Lighthouse pretty quickly from anywhere on the island. You can walk right up to it and get a photo. Your best bet is to go out onto lighthouse beach and enjoy the view of the lighthouse from there, along...More

Sanibel's lighthouse looks more like a water tower than a lighthouse, but after walking the beach and the area around it, it has a charm all it's own. There is a fishing pier and a lovely beach, as well.

We only drive by to take pictures, you can't go to the top of the lighthouse. Free to drive by and area. Not to park.

You cannot access it. There are mostly condo rentals on Sanibel. Very few hotels.

There are no restaurants on the beach, there is no Boardwalk. There are several restaurants on the island. Not in walking distance from the beach.
