There is a charge for parking here $4 for 1 hour. There is no parking at the lighthouse and really nothing to see there, no visitors center just 2 white buildings and he lighthouse. The beach is not very big and there were not to many shells around. The kids found some though not like I was led to believe... More

Beautiful island. $6 toll to get on island. Parking is $3 per hour unless you have a valid handicap permit, then it is free. Beautiful beaches, but it requires some walking you can see no beach from any road due to development. When you park in a designated area you can walk to the beach, which is loaded with shells,... Don't miss this lovely little piece of paradise. The beach is beautiful and the water a spectacular teal blue. Lots of pretty shells and birds galore to watch. The parking was a little challenging, as spaces are limited. The causeway over to the island makes a great place to watch the sunsets. Don't miss this little gem!

The design of this lighthouse (skeleton) reminds me of the one I grew up visiting in Marblehead, MA. Although there is a fence around it that prevents you from getting close, there is an historical marker that provides a good history.

This use to be a top breakfast on Sanibel. Feel that quality has gone down. Out to live off of name.

We love walking the beach near the lighthouse, collecting shells, watching for dolphin and visiting on the fishing pier. It's the perfect place to start our day.

The light house is at the south end of Sanibel island, at the end of Periwinkle drive. It has a parking but one must pay $4.00 for an Hour. It is on the edge of the beach that stretches all the way to the north end of the Island.

The lighthouse is visible form many places in Sanibel. A wonderful walk on the beach and beautiful park area.

Had visited Sanibel before and had no idea that the lighthouse and pier existed....what a delightful little find! You just pay a $4 per hour parking fee and then meander beach, lighthouse and pier area. Probably would be a lot less crowded however on weekends, as I visited on a Saturday afternoon and there were people everywhere.

Nice historical marker with good signage to read about the history of the lighthouse. It's a small setting and you will be there for a short time and then back on the beach
