Boyd Nature Center is a great place to walk. The trails are improved enough so that it is handicapped accessible with a scooter. We expected to see more wildlife. We did see a turtle in its hole, two small alligators, and some water birds. They also had some injured birds in cages. Go if you want a nice walk but... More

St. Petersburg has been pretty much built out. Being a penisula there are few placed left to build on. Still, a decent sized parcel of wilderness has been carved out and protected. Surrounded by city residential neighborhoods and a country club, one would never know that this beautiful preserve is there. Take one of the hiking trails and you will... More

We went to BHNP 2/15/17 and enjoyed ourselves. The entry price was $3 each and if you want to take the tram tour it is a few $ more. We just walked the trails as I need to have the exercise. A 5Km trail will give you a size comarison but I am guessing you could triple that if you... More

Spent part of an afternoon walking...trails are very nice..several water stations along the way..We saw a tram but we didn't take it, preferred to walk..Saw the different raptors that live there because they have been injured and are unable to live in the wild..the young caretakers were very knowledgeable...We enjoyed this park and will return

We enjoyed visiting so much we actually visited 3times whilst on our 4week holiday. It was so nice to be able to walk and observe this area...sometimes spotting the Aligators basking in the sunshine. It was lovely to see the endangered birds being nursed back to health. It is lovely for children and it was obvious that a lot of... More

I love this park. The nature walks are so relaxing. The staff are also well-informed and helpful. This is a great place in St. Pete to get back to nature. Plenty of wildlife and local flora to see.

We ended up spending 5 hours at this lovely nature preserve. The tram tour (a must) took us round all the different habitats - wetland, swamp, marsh, sand hill etc, with good explanations from Ken. We were thrilled to see a good range of wildlife on our tour: Alligators, Racoons, Osprey, Anhinga, Night Heron, Limpkin, Blue-winged teal, Pie-billed grebe, and... More

Great place for a walk in nature with opportunity to see Florida's endangered birds nursed back to health and long walks on their well marked trails. Great folks to tell you about the area or discover the area yourself. Well worth the 3 dollar admission fee for a few hours in the sunshine. See gators, turtles and more.

Went solo in mid-January to photograph local birds. The site includes a rescue aviary where large birds are given a chance to recover from injuries, including a bald eagle, two species of owls, and others. Pathways are well laid out, and mapped. Only spent an hour there, but saw an osprey and my first black-hooded parakeet. Front desk personnel were... More

This was our first visit. We were amazed at the number of trails to walk. There is so much to do and see. Plenty of birds!!! Outside the center are some nice picnic areas, restrooms, and a playground. We will return often.
