Lisa, Thank you for your wonderful review of the MFA. We are pleased you enjoyed our collection and the traveling exhibition we have on view. Please plan to visit us, again, soon, and save the date for Star Wars and the Power of Costume coming to the MFA in November! Susan More

Small, by international standards, but exquisite taste of showings make this a truly memorable experience. Allow a half day to fully appreciate the offerings, and stay for lunch!

We visited the museum for photo exhibit dealing with American road trips over the years. Creative pictures didn't disappoint. Monet was a additional benefit fling with Asian art.

One of my all time favorite stops in St Petersburg. A beautiful venue with a very diverse permanent collection and always socially relevant and fascinating temporary exhibits as well. Very knowledgeable and accomondating staff. Reasonable price to tour such an amazing art museum. Great for singles, couples, families, school groups, etc. They even have beautiful event areas to rent for... More

Thank you for your fabulous review of the Museum of Fine Arts. We love our museum and happy to see reviews like this from our visitors. If you are visiting, again, the best option for parking is to park in the Beach Drive Overflow Parking Lot, as it is just $3 per day IF you get a ticket from on-street... More

Not worth the $17. Admission. OK if you like pre-Columbian art. Limited in great art work. Maybe one I liked maybe 7 pictures. The place has a moldy odor. I just wasn't impressed. Maybe for $5.00. No comparison to the Dali museum...We liked. I've been to museums all over the world and this was the least impressive inside. The outside... More

I am sorry you didn't think your visit was worth the $17 admission price. The MFA, founded by Margaret Acheson Stuart in 1965, has been in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg for over 50 years. With over 20,000 works of art (not all on view, of course), representing over 5,000 years of history, it is the only encyclopedic museum... More

The MFA is a good place to spend a few hours if in downtown St. Petersburg. We were staying close by and wanted a break from the beach so we stopped in for a visit. It definitely met our expectations. Their collection is quite diverse and well displayed in a very nice building. There were paintings, sculpture and other various... More

The museum tries to cover a very wide range of periods and styles of art. It can cover nothing in any depth. While there are some prominent artists represented, the works are not their best. It was a pleasant diversion, but not worth a special trip.

The museum looks quite small from the outside but it is huge on the inside. The have works of Claude Monet in it. The greatest painter of all time. That one piece is worth up to $50 million dollars. Come here over the Dali Museum. This one has over 15 different rooms.

Besides the permanent exhibition of artifacts from around the world do not pass up this special photo show. It takes the count of America in the sixties through the lenses of photographers taken on their travels across the country. It is well curated, comprehensive and samples the most important artists of the sixties.
