Even thought the parking was almost full--parking meters all down the beach--the beach didn't seem all that crowded on a Saturday afternoon. While i had to park a couple of blocks away, the meters I parked at accepted Parkmobile, the smart phone app for paying for parking. Other meters required cash or a credit card and entry of the particular... More

By not having construction right on the beach (the beach is in effect fronted by a park-preserve of the dunes/sea grasses), the commercial and private development is across the street from the beach...a much better arrangement than for the next 40 miles north of shorefront.

We loved this beach! White, powdery, fine sand beach with lots of seashells of all colors and sizes, which makes walking on the beach such an enjoyment. There aren't as many tourists as there are on other beaches, so you feel like you have a lot of room to yourself. There's plenty of parking on the street for $2.25/hr, and... More

Quintessential 50's beach community. Beautiful and accessible beach. Limited (funky) shopping. Limited dining. The Central Ave trolley goes down there if you don't want to drive from St Pete.

We loved this beach. If you're looking for sea shells this is the place to go! Lots of large and colorful shells. The beach was the fine powdery sand. Water was pretty shallow and you could walk out forever and not be more than waist deep. We parked down at the end by the jetty. My husband fished off the... More

Lovely little town with good food, great accomodation and a wonderful clean beach. We arrived just in time for THE most sublime sunset and rushed across the road from our lovely hotel (Inn on the Beach & highly recommended). Also lovely to stroll over the other side and sit Bay-side and watch the pelicans and people busy fishing. We were... More

A great find! Beautiful white sand beach no crowds, Crystal blue green water and lots of seashells to be found. Plenty of pay parking around. Current rate $2.25 per hour. We will certainly be back! Walking distance to shops and several restaurants.

This area has beautiful beaches and lots of shells wash up. Clean white sands. Not very crowded for Feb/March. Good fishing at St. Merry Peir. Parking right near beach at # parking slots. Very enjoyable and clean.

Quaint little town with a funky name. We fell upon it driving around the area. It's quiet, nice for a walk.
