This park and indeed the whole island is a little slice of paradise. The beaches go on forever and the sand is pristine. It was very quiet and we could enjoy the beaches without interruption.

This park has miles of beautiful beaches. There are nice boardwalks to access the beach and several places with covered areas and picnic tables. A boat launch and kayak rentals.

I visited here in March. It wasn't crowded and had long streches of beach all to myself. That was wonderful. The surf was rough one day. Wish I could have stayed longer.

A hidden jem on the gulf coast of Florida. The beach was almost deserted after Christmas, just a few guests were taking advantage of it. Plenty of areas to cookout and picnic for groups or families. The top notch campground was almost full, it had hookups with some concrete pads to park on. Located at eastern end of island away... More

Gorgeous and clean. Fun for the entire family. We were lucky enough to see dolphins in the water. Water wasn't warm enough for swimming but it was fun to walk and let the tide hit our feet.

We visited in July 2016. We stayed at the campground in a 35 ft travel trailer. It's unusual to have such a nice campground at a state park! The sites were lined with trees. The bathhouses were very neat. Our site was within walking distance to the beach. We brought our own kayaks, put them into the bay, then ended... More

Beautiful views of the gulf and the bay, numerous fishing spots, hiking trails, and camping. Two or three beach access spots, with the last one I know having wheelchair access to restrooms and beach walk. Last beach access has one Pepsi drink machine but no snack vending. Unsure of others. Facilities clean, views stunning, atmosphere peaceful and serene. Kids played... More

We spent a lot of our time here. We hiked a couple days, hunted seashells. Some of the biggest shells we had seen. The beaches were very user friendly and the restrooms were very very clean. Can't wait to go back.

We saw some neat stuff on our walk around. We followed a crab around and spotted all kinds of other neat stuff on the beach. Well preserved and natural.
