Have stayed a few times at the camp ground, and spent many days on the beach here, beautiful place. Camp ground is clean, with showers, and tent or RV spots. Beach has many shells for collectors .

I was visiting a bunch of Florida state parks for a geocaching challenge, and this one was on the list. I'm glad I came! The beaches are gorgeous, and not crowded, the water is warm even in November (well, the locals may disagree, but for...More

If you like crowds, noise and such don't go here. This is a beautifully maintained natural area on the Gulf of Mexico. If you dream of those beaches you see on television ads where a walk on a secluded beach is your thing, then this...More

Beaches were beautiful. Not very crowded. Great place for bicycle riders. You can pay extra to go to the end of the island. Do not expect anything extravagant......you are paying to see undisturbed beaches. Restroom facilities were very clean. Don't know that I would visit...More

While we were in Carrabelle on our Dixieland-Tour we felt that going to St. George Island was a must-see. In mid October however there is nothing doing. So if walking on lonely beaches is yours - go there. White sands - do it! The island...More

The park is located on the east end. We always drive or bike to the end to look for shells and other sea creatures that have washed up on shore. Dolphins play in the channel and it's a great place to fish from shore. There...More

The large bins are at the campground, and there are recycling trash bins at the pavilions. Admission is $4 for single-occupant car, $2 for pedestrians and bicycles, $8 boat. Don't remember any fee waivers for recycling.

We went to the beach access across from the campground access road and walked as far to the tip of the island as we could walk since the tip of the island did have as much foot traffic.
