Cold but nice walk

We saw some neat stuff on our walk around. We followed a crab around and spotted all kinds of other neat stuff on the beach. Well preserved and natural.

We have visited this park twice, always in the fall or winter. The beaches are beautiful and there are not too many people around. You can walk for miles and enjoy the shore birds and solitude. The protected waters are good for kayaking, you can bike on the main road and there is not much traffic, and of course hike... More

Beautiful location with a nice beach and clean walking paths. We walked to one of the primitive campsites and what we found was very primitive and very authentic. Pure nature, something to try for people who dare spending a night without any facility around and quite far from the closest ones.

The first visit we drove out to the end and then rode our bikes the last 4 miles which are only accessible by bike or walking unless you get a special permit to drive. The ride wasn't too bad even though it was pretty windy. The beach was spectacular and the shells bigger than most we had found. Our second... More

Such a beautiful place along the Gulf of Mexico. Tranquil with many boardwalks out to the gorgeous sandy beach. No pets or alcohol allowed. Could spend hours there.

This has to be one of the best beaches in the state. Beautiful sand, clear water and hardly any people on the beach. Lot of shells to sort thru and you can walk for miles it seems. We did not stay in the campground but we drove thru it. It looked like each spot had some privacy from the next... More

St. George state park is exceptional for a day at the beach. St. George Island doesn't have the same flavor as Cape San Blas, it is more like the wild natural dunes that you find at other Gulf Islands from Mississippi to Florida. But the two state parks are equally as attractive to visitors. I don't know how they manage... More

Sand dunes are beautiful and Snow White. All kinds of birds can be seen here. The water is a beautiful blue and clear. If you love shelling this is the place to find large conch shells. Great picnic area also.

$6.00 just to look. I understand that the money is to keep the place nice, however a little expensive for just a look. camping to far from water you have to drive to a beach area. Maybe some day a shuttle bus would be in the service provided.
