We stopped for a quick trip up the lighthouse and there were pretty cool views. It is an easy 92 steps up, but then there is steep ladder at the very top. We made it easily since we had a young crowd with us, but older folks would find it a challenge. The lighthouse keepers museum is small, but staffed... More

This beautiful lighthouse is in a peaceful park setting with a reconstructed replica of the original lighthouse keeper's house. The storied lighthouse was originally constructed in 1852, was destroyed and rebuilt several times, collapsed from water erosion in October 2005, and finally rebuilt at its current location. She is a survivor . . . and will last for generations to... More

Really cool museum at the base with history of the lighthouse. You have to make the climb up to the top to take the breath taking view. Really cool. Worth every second

The Lighthouse is a 92 step and 4 foot ladder climb but well worth tbe views. The museum in the keepers house is informative and the employees are amazingly helpful. It is $5.00 per person to climb the lighrhouse.

Very interesting and convenient to visit. Stopped here to get a bird's eye view of the island area. Lots of steps to the top and the catwalk area is a little hard to get to. Overall, good experience.

Walk inside the SGI Lighthouse and climb up the stairs to see the view of the area. Visit the Museum next door and learn about the Fresnel Lens and the history of the lighthouse. The gift shop has unique ideas and items from Florida. If you love St George Island as much as most visitors, you will purchase a brick... More

This was our 4th or 5th trip to SGI state park. It was a cool, windy March day and the result was the same- mes and miles of beautiful, pristine, white sand beaches with no one around! I don't know how this has been kept such a secret. The dunes are spectacular! Gorgeous egrets and herons abound! Lovely picnic shelters/bath... More

My daughter (age 5) and I stopped in to visit the lighthouse museum and to climb up to the top of the lighthouse. We started with the lighthouse climb which was nice. It felt air conditioned on the inside which is nice seeing that it is Florida. It was been redone and kept up nicely. There are windows you can... More
