Oldest Catholic Church in North America. Spanish by design the parish dates back to 16th century. Beautiful altar, red ceiling and stain glass windows. Rear mural of Spanish explorers in the choir loft impressive

The Basilica is a true monument to the catholic religion. I attended early morning weekday mass and then toured the church. It's beautiful. Please don't miss this on your tour of St. Augustine. It's worth your time.

We had a tour of the church by a very knowledgeable tour guide. Made for an interesting tour. The history of the church was interesting, and the tour guide was very personable and made it easy to ask questions.

The interior of this gorgeous Catholic cathedral is a must see on your trip to St. Augustine. The tour guide was most informative and we had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and take pictures.

Impressive church with art around every corner. A great place for quiet solitude with the Lord. Everyone should visit (free access) amidst the hustle and bustle of sightseeing and shopping.

Pat G. No, you do not need a ticket. A collection will be taken up at the Offertory, but it is absolutely voluntary. In short, it would not cost you a penny, unless you want to donate.

I'm sorry we only visit in the summer. It's a fully functional church so I would say yes. You can always google their name.
