My children loved this place when they were little. It hasn't changed over the years. The hands on experience is a great place to let little hands of children and grand children discover things . . . and history is also taught through experience

A delightful surprise on our way south to Orlando, on a driving tour. So interesting to see "Old Florida" and park and walk around the quaint old village, stopping at little shops and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Definitely a "must see" stop on a road trip through northern Florida. We visited in March of 2011.

While in the city, do take the time to walk down St. George St and into the Village area. It's very clean and neat. The shops are all very nice and worth a look. You'll find all kinds of things here and the quality of the items isn't a bunch of cheap stuff. They have some pretty and unusual things.

During our travels through Europe we often run into the "oldest this, oldest that" but not as much in the good old USA. Walking through the oldest city in the US is therefore a different experience. Just strolling around the cobblestone streets with the Spanish names, the Spanish architecture, this charming city has much history to explore. The Casa Monica... More

Celebrated our 18th aniv with a quick weekend away to St Augustine from Orlando. Absolutely loved it! Started our day by the beach, spent the afternoon wandering the Old streets, had some beer at an awesome jazz bar playing life music at 5pm with happy hour and then headed back to the beach to watch the sunset. Great town to... More

My husband and I got married at "Old St. Augustine Village" in 2009. All but a couple picture listed are pictures of other places found in St. Augustine and not part of OSAV. It was a collection of homes willed to the city of St. Augustine when the owner died. He traveled the world collecting art and artifacts and bought... More

The pedestrian village has some wonderful old buildings, some history in the way of plaques and stories, but very little that would qualify as a historical site. Most of the buildings are now housing restaurants, shops and bars. Still, it is definitely worth browsing around and taking notice of the little corners, architecture and historical plaques that are there. A... More

Looking much as it did in the 16th century the old village, and mostly St. George street is filled with restaurants, bars, snacks, and shops but also full of history and preservation. Take a stroll, visit some shops, grab a snack.
