About
The St. Augustine Wild Reserve offers tours by appointment on Mon, Wed, & Sat at 2pm, and Sat. at 11am. We also offer a VIP tour Friday at noon. Email for reservations. Guests will be given a tour of the Reserve by a wildlife professional. An intro to each species & how the species arrived here will be discussed. Visitors will have a close-up view of the exotic animals, and will venture closer to adult lions and tigers than they ever imagined. Meet our amazing white tigers, orange tigers, golden tabby tiger, white lions, cougars, bear, servals, lynxes, leopards, hyenas, & wolves. We feed big cats on the tours, and set up a tiger bubblebath. It gets exciting when the big cats eat! You will also howl with the wolves at tour's end. We don't allow photography; we offer a photo flash drive for a small donation, as well as refrigerator magnets of your favorite animals. To book a tour, log onto bookeo.com/tigertours. Cost is $35/adults; kids 10 & under, $25.00; and kids 2 and under, $5.00.

Lions and tigers and bear…. Oh My!
Nov 2021 • Family
I visited with my three daughters as well as my parents. We ALL absolutely loved it. The animals are magnificent and the love, care, and devotion of their caretakers is amazing. Small group tours are wonderful and allow everyone to see and hear all about the animals. Definitely St. Augustine’s best kept secret!

A very unique and close up large animal encounter
Nov 2021
This is terrific place! It was awesome to see the huge cats and other unique animals up close and to see the wonderful interaction with the staff. It was obvious the bond they had all established with these huge and normally killer animals. Everything was very casual and a lot of instruction is shared about them. We were able to actually howl with the wolves! How fun! We visited during a much cooler spell and they all were very active. You will learn a lot about many of God's creatures that we are not often able to see so closely. Can't go wrong if you love to learn about animals.

VIP Tour Best Donation Ever!
Nov 2021
We love animals and especially the big cats. It is horrific what we as humans are doing to them and their habitats but it is gratifying to see what a difference dedicated volunteers can do to help them by giving them a loving and caring home. It is wonderful to see them up close and learn about the individual personalities these beautiful creatures exhibit .They are fascinating to watch and this is a great experience for the entire family, educational and just plain fun. My husband and I will be repeat visitors and will donate whenever we can to make sure the lovely residents of this shelter continue to have a great home.

Fantastic experience- must do if in area- will be back!
Nov 2021 • Family
We have been coming to St. Augustine as a couple for over 17 years. My husband has been coming to this area since the 1980s and we both love it. And yet we had never been to St. Augustine Wild Reserve until 11/24/21- the day before Thanksgiving. I regret not doing this sooner, as it was hands down one of our favorite activities we have ever done as a family while on a vacation.

We had a large tour group, approximately 75 people, but it did not hinder from the experience. I will try to do the smaller group tour next time so I can hear everything she says, because a lot of the kids wanted to talk during her stops at each animal. I also was not trying to be up front at each stop, but I will say, I stayed behind or looked at the other animals while the group was focused on one animal and had the opportunity to see some amazing animals up close!

By far, the best part was when the lion started to roar and many other animals began to chime in with their calls as well. It was absolutely awe inducing and I couldn’t peel the smile from my face. Learning of the tragic history of how each animal came to be at the facility was eye opening and sad as well.

Another cool moment was getting the wolves to do a wolf howl at us at the end. Very very cool!

Highly recommend this easy ride outside Historic St. Augustine for one amazing tour. You will not be disappointed and the animals you get to see up close will blow you away! The money from your tour goes to a great cause. If I lived locally I would become a volunteer, as I could see how much they love and care for those animals.

Exotic Animal Refuge
Nov 2021
Big cats, wolves, bear, and coyote live out their lives in comfort and love. The staff obviously enjoy their job caring for these animals that would otherwise have no place to go. Being of unknown breeding or mixed breed these animals cannot go to zoos and of course cannot go back to their natural habitat. This wonderful sanctuary cares for these animals for the rest of their lives depending on donations of food, money, and volunteers. Great tour with extremely knowledgeable guides.

We came here on our honeymoon and it was the most amazing experience. They have lots of different animals who they love very dearly. They all have names and stories and are all very valued. It was a beautiful place to be and something we will absolutely never forget.

Great Experience at St Augustine Wild Reserve
Nov 2021
My wife and I toured the St. Augustine Wild Reserve on November 8. The tour was excellent!

We were impressed with the number of large cats, wolves and other animals at the Reserve. The animals all appeared to be healthy. The grounds and animal areas were very clean.

Many of the animals were being fed which made the tour even more interesting.

Our guide was VERY knowledgeable. She demonstrated the care and concern by the Reserve to provide a home for many of the animals that would have been euthanized otherwise.

The staff was very accommodating to those taking the tour - they provided water and a tram for those that needed a ride.

Educational, interesting, uplifting and absolute pleasure to visit!
Nov 2021 • Couples
We had no idea that our visit to this sanctuary refuge would be such a positive enjoyable experience today. We’re new to Florida and took a chance knowing our visiting daughter-in-law loves animals. This was an amazing up close visit. So many beautiful healthy animals all with their own story. Learning about them was something we never thought we’d enjoy so much and will never forget! We were captivated and fell in love immediately. The staff made our visit even more pleasurable, they know and love these animals and were able to bring out each of their unique personalities. All the animals were very active and fun to watch. These animals will be part of our lives forever. Ticket prices seemed a little pricy but now we really understand how the cost offsets the much needed funding to provide all that these animals need. It moves our hearts to donate more! Can’t wait to take visiting guests back with us another time. Great for people of all ages!

Amazing Wildlife Reserve!
Oct 2021 • Family
Our tour guide Sam was very knowledgeable, articulate, and clearly loved all the animals at the reserve. My entire family truly enjoyed the experience of seeing all the animals up close and hearing their stories, including my 11 year son who was captivated and entertained the entire tour. The facility was clean and all the animals seemed very well cared for.
