Philippe Park is on the northwest end of Tampa Bay. There are wonderful grand oaks throughout the park providing plenty of shade. Many pavillions and picnic tables are available and I've heard that it is a nice place to go fishing, as well.

Nice paved path along water for short distance. Additional unpacked trails. Very distinct trees. Be aware all bathrooms are not opened on weekdays. Facilities themselves were clean and appropriate for a park. You can see some birds and jumping fish occasionally and some small crabs....More

Great local park, Indian mounds and local history hand-in-hand with picnic areas, pavilions, playgrounds and walking/biking. Boat ramp to the bay, but get there early - parking fills up fast.

This little park by the bay is just the place to go walking, riding a bike, sitting and watching the water or a picnic. It's a fantastic place to walk our dog. Very clean, safe and peaceful.

Lots of shade, trails by the water and conveniently located restrooms make this park a good place for walks. There are some slight hills, and even some steps if you are tired of flat terrain. Weekends tend to be rather busy, so be aware of...More

I bring my 3 year old boy and his brother of 1.5 and they enjoy this park a lot, especially when there are other kids playing, which happens almost always.
