Once a sugar plantation owned by John Tharpe, Jamaica's largest slave and plantation owner, this impressive colonial-style estate is now an elaborate park dedicated to exploring the region's natural and cultural heritage. Good Hope Estate provides visitors with a unique perspective on Jamaican culture. In addition to the plethora of adventure activities, you will also have an opportunity to explore the grounds and facilities as well as sample and buy local products such as coffee, rum and jerk seasoning. If you're lucky, you many even get to meet resident artist and master potter David Pinto.

My family visited the Good Hope Plantation November 22, 2016, with the younger members of our family opting for the full adventure of activities and the senior members just for the plantation and Appleton run tasting tours. We had a slight reservation mishap, but the front desk management quickly resolved our issue and had us on our way immediately. They... More

We were delivered to the adventure playground area of this plantation so we could do zip lining. We had two great tour guides who looked after us and entertained us as well. It was a first time for two of us but they made us feel safe and soon we were having fun and relaxed. We also went on the... More

Went here on a Disney cruise excursion, and it was very clear all they were interested in was getting as much money out of you as possible. We already paid a lot for the excursion through Disney. At every step of the way on the excursion, requests for tips were made: after the bus ride to the plantation, after the... More

We had a High Tea experience here and a guided tour. The guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The tea was excellent and the Blue Mountain coffee sent my wife into raptures. The views were great and you could picture yourself sitting on the verander drinking coffee and being waited on in the 1800s.

I recently visited Good Hope Estate as part of a conference social activity. The excursion is pretty much a full day if you book for the ultimate experience although you can tailor make what you want to do if you have limited time. I was limited in the activities I could participate in since I had young children with me,... More

Anything you want to do here you can! ATV, dune buggys, zip lines, river tubing, plantation tour, pool time, lunch, rum tasting and rum punch. If you plan to go get there whem ot opens so tpu have enough time to do everything. ATV was amazing and plantation house tour was educational.

Had a good time visiting the plantation. We did this on a RCI excursion. If you want something "different" that doesn't involve a beach or water than this is a nice time. Great history & interesting facts as well as stunning views.

We left our resort around 8am, fr St. Anne. The trip up to Good Hope took about 1 - 1.5 hrs via shuttle (we stopped to pick up guests at another resort). There are so many activities to do at Good Hope Plantation and we were pleasantly surprised. There were so many things to do & a variety of packages... More

Gorgeous views of Falmouth, Jamaica. Wish we could have spent more time up on the hill with the views.

Visited on excursion from cruise ship. Very pretty, relaxing and interesting place. Wish we had been able to spend longer there. The "afternoon tea" served in the garden, despite being served at lunch time was very enjoyable and it being my birthday, made a pleasant change to previous birthdays on a cold wet February day in England! Would recommend
