Went shooting with my family for the weekend. We felt extremely safe with the management there, in fact it seemed like extra safety precautions were taken. Great way to spend an afternoon with the family if you like to shoot.

This is without a doubt one of the worst public shooting ranges I have ever visited. (and dangerous).1 RO for over 100 shooters. 1/2 dozen using one shooting lane. Full automatics. Empty cases by the hundreds all over the floor. No waiting order. Arguments as to who is next for a lane. Shooters went into a lane and no cold... More

Went shooting with Son-in-Law and Granddaughter. Wonderful experience! The range is well managed, no fooling around tolerated for safety. We shot at the 100 yd rifle range, sighting in new weapons. If you are new to rifle shooting, bring ear plugs, protective eyewear AND earmuffs. You supply targets, so bring them and a stapler! The shooting benches are under cover... More

Its time,we are getting a bit of chance to shoot without the long lines of winter. The place is great to spend a few hours and use the 200 rifle or 20 yard pistol range. Just off Tuckers Grade road its a beautiful drive [for Florida] and for a low price I think its 3 bucks a person or 6... More

We had really looked forward to this trip . We are keen photographers and birders and were especially looking forward to seeing the various woodpeckers. Firstly when we arrived there were no staff around. We paid money into honesty box and collected a map. We drove around stopping every so often to walk a little and search out birds. All... More

This place needs to be preserved so the more visitors they get, the better. It is a huge WMA with lots of birds and sportsman activities. There is a huge lake with camping and other smaller ponds that are fishable. Hunting is allowed so be aware of that during hunting season. There is also a shooting range so it can... More

Drove by and stopped to stretch our legs and what a treat! Drove less than a mile, parked the car and just took in the scenery. Saw panther tracks by the water. No noice, just the sound of birds. Go there!

As visiting birders, my husband and I added this location to our list of birding hotspots for our trip to the central coast of west Florida. In particular, we wanted to add the Red-cockaded Woodpecker to our life list. The fee for entering was only $3 for the day, and the staff members were very helpful in answering our questions.... This wilderness area is rather primitive, yet offers a fair amount of activities. We explored a few fishing areas and the shooting range. Facilities are somewhat sparse/primitive, yet sufficient for those who want to 'rough it.'
