We rode bikes to the park and found the wildlife center. This not-for-profit center is free with donations encouraged. Volunteers told us the many stories about the birds and animals that have been rescued. This is a great way to see many of the Florida...More

Very small outdoor area with a path between the cages holding the animals. They suggest a donation, which you are happy to give. Parking is bad unless you go early as the Ponce De Leon Park is a favorite area for groups and families.

Great centre, the staff have so much knowledge on the animals. They rescue them and return to wild when ever they can. We always leave money for them. Hope to see you again next year

Peace River Wildlife Center is a simple but unique rehabilitation center for SW Florida's wildlife. Many of the "residents" can't be released back into the wild so they are able to live in this sanctuary with conditions as true to their natural habitat as is...More

This facility houses numerous species of rehabilitated animals, mostly birds. Luna, the white owl, is particularly unique. Entrance is free, although a donation is appreciated.

About 20 minutes by car. Follow Marion Street to the West until it ends at Ponce Park and you are there.
