Great place to see real FL

Lots of plants to see. Saw many birds and even 3 wild hogs in the distance. You do not have to walk very far to see many things.

It certainly feels like you are the only one there! So much beautiful space to enjoy, the sky, the water, the trails, the wildlife, trees & shrubs. A very natural state park. Unhurried, no crowds, quiet....you just hear the wind blowing and the birds calling to each other. A wonderful nature center invites you in with many exhibits, pretty canoe... More

Great way to see Florida for it's natural beauty and undeveloped area. This was my second visit. We were hoping to kayak or canoe but due to the lack of rain and long dry spell we were unable to. The marsh is self contained. To the other reviews who complained they could not walk the trail due to water across... More

NIce park right off Walton Road. Good for Bird Watching -- bring binoculars. The trails are flat and smooth. Safe with police patrolling the area.

Savannas State Park allows a visitor to step back in time and see this coastal area of Florida as it was years ago prior to all the development. We did not have a lot of time to spend at the park, but we were able to take a walk on an easy, flat, sandy trail for about two hours. Parts... More

We stopped during part of an impropmtu road trip. Since we were nearing the end of our trip, we didn't have enough time to enjoy entire facility & grounds. The rangers/staff were EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. Were directed to experience Hawk's Bluff hiking trail, just a short drive away at Jensen Beach.

My wife and I went to the area off of Walton Road initially and hiked the shorter trail as my wife was having foot problems. February was a dry month, good for trail conditions, but we didn't see much but the local plant life. We later went to the campground off Midway Road and saw a few ducks and an... More
