Big Lagoon is one of our favorite places to camp near the beach. Private sites & clean, modern bathrooms. This year we had the surprise of raccoons stalking our campground. This family of 4 are certainly not afraid of humans.

This park has some trails that might be worth walking, I didn't take them because 5 minutes after paying the entrance fee it began raining. Other than that, nothing to see here. Don't bother.

This park features a long boardwalk as well as an observation tower. The views are stupendous. A lovely place, very non-commercial.

I went Kayaking for the first time over Labor Day. The man who helped me with my rental was very knowledgeable and helpful in making sure I was prepared to go on my adventure. He also had great food when I returned.

Big Lagoon is an interesting place. You have the Lagoon itself that is pretty cool. Then you have the swamp areas that you can walk through on the boardwalk. The kids loved the swamp and getting to see a small 2 foot alligator!

We camped for 5 nights at 2 different sites. The pros are that the campsites allow you some privacy and you don't feel like you're on top of each other. There are plenty of bathhouses that are within reasonable distance from all campsites. We tent...More

We went to this park because there were jellyfish at the Perdido Key State Park. Paid $3 extra to get in here. No jellyfish because it is on intracoastal waters. The water was brown, not pretty, and boring. We sat around in lawn chairs and...More

if they follow the foot path in the camp ground they will come to the beach within a few minutes, the main Beach at Perdido is a bit further and I would suggest a drive to the main Beach at Perdido as not allot of side walks... More
