Incredible day visiting the fort. Amazing to see the size and labyrinth of tunnels. In great shape too! Fun family trip.

this is on my list for out of town guests as the view gives such a clear explanation of the bay and surroundings, the tiny museum is very informative and the rangers are always friendly and helpful

Interesting history at this well maintained fort. View from the highest points is beautiful. Inside the fort is cool even in the summer.

Fun little gem within the naval base. Loved that we could walk all over the fort, the hallways within the fort were pretty nifty and it was so interesting seeing the worn floors from the previous soldiers.

This isn't a plethora of information, but it's very open allowing you to walk around and explore. I've been a couple times and it's never crowded.

I went to both in the same day they are an hour apart and I would definitely choose Fort Pickens. The drive there is beautiful and worth the trip but a little long. Fort Barrancas is on a military base and a little hard to... More
