We went to check out on of the parks that are a part of the Gulf Shores National Seashore. It was very shared for the most part and the breeze was awesome for late August down south.

An absolutely gorgeous reservation. Naval live oak trees are one of the most beautiful trees. The whole place has been kept in it's natural state.

I went here for a run, and enjoyed it. However, don't be fooled by the name. Most of the park is pine hammock, so there is little shade. The trails are sandy so running is a bit more challenging than on pavement. Has a nice...More

The Jackson Trail in Gulf Breeze is a great day hike through live oak scrub with several views of Pensacola Bay - and of course, the giant sand slope (bluff) . Park by the Gulf Breeze hospital and start the trail loop.
