I went on New Year's Day and seemed to have the place (almost) to ourselves. It was freezing, but seemed like a great place to spend a few hours with kids or for a picnic if the weather is nice. We saw lots of deer,...More

So many choices of where to explore. From Cypress swamps with elevated boardwalks to hiking along the large lake to peaceful woods and trees. You can even lunch your boat here and enjoy the large freshwater lake.

Important note: it is not all boardwalk. Wheelchair was with us and able to go mostly everywhere. Is half boardwalk and half hard packed dirt. If wet the wheelchair wouldn't have made it. Deer, birds, gator etc great hike, nature!!!

One of the best parks in the area that I have found. So much to do. Boat ramp, boardwalks, playsets, etc. Lots of space and area for running and activities. Saw at least 12 deer. Right on the lake as well.

My wife and I love coming here for long relaxing walks along the shoreline. Perhaps the most serene park in the area and one of the key reasons I LOVE living here.

The boardwalk is maybe 1 mile at most. It’s flat - and goes through the marshland along the edge of brooker creek and Lake Tarpon.

Deer are more lively earlier in the morning or closer to dusk. Alligators are seen more when its cooler out( Morning or evening.) Thats what I was always told or have experienced.
