Call 531-862-7428 to confirm Days & Hours. They vary. I drove there & parked in a parallel space on the shore side near the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. The small Museum is next to it. The self-guided tour here takes about 30 minutes. I purchased the 3-part VIP Tour. Currently there is a Groupon available. The docent explained the... More

I'd passed by car and foot so many times and finally found this little gem open as I was walking on the weekend. It's very small and quaint. But it's great for those who love history and all things nautical. Lots of old photos and artifacts here in this small space. They even sell drinks and a couple snacks.

A piece of history tucked away on this little island. We visited on a Sunday at 1pm and got a private tour for just the 2 of us by a VERY nice woman (Ruth). She was knowledgeable and nice to interact with. The museum is badly under funded so please support this before developers take it away. Also, there are... More

I purchased a Groupon for $70 (Tour of the Kennedy Bunker, former Coast Guard station, and Currie Park Museum) which would have been $120 for my family of four. We met at the boat house and took a 15 minute walk through the house and then about 15 minutes for the bunker. The tour guide did have a lot of... More

A must see place...it offers an interesting piece of history. More than just the JFK bunker which is pretty sweet. The Coast Guard house is a treasure trove of artifacts. I just wish you were able to see more than just the first floor. The bunker was set up as it would have been back the day. Our tour guide... More

The Kennedy family owned a mansion and compound in Palm Beach for decades, and the president spent time there while he was in office. After his election, Navy Seabees constructed an underground nuclear fallout bunker on Peanut Island in the Palm Beach harbor to protect the president in case of nuclear attack. It was a fallout shelter, not a bomb... More

To get there, you climb aboard a water taxi The museum and the Kennedy bunker are located on an island with a great beach and a beautiful blue lagoon. The museum is small, but the volunteers give a great presentation and the subsequent tour leads through the bunker with all its different chambers. Hard to imagine that a family of... More
