I took a two day golf clinic at the Marriott Grande Vista Golf Academy. It was a great experience and it will definitely help to improve my game. David, my instructor was very systematic and patient. He has great teaching skills. All the staff at the pro shop, restaurant and course made me feel really welcome. After having lunch with... More

Hitting from the green tees and my wife from the golds proved to be a real competitive treat. The 9 holes are laid out for teaching so you have a little of everything. One par 4 over 400 yards, no par 5's total par 32. It can be a bit slow due to family play. It is what it is!... More

It was family golf day and we were looking for a fun executìve course. Found it. Course was in good shape and most holes had good designs. All of the staff were friendly and helped with information. The only negative was lack of food or beverage cart. Clubhouse too far from turn and no time on busy day.

I'm a 6 handicap and played the back tees. Still interesting and a few challenging holes, like the par 3 No. 8 from the back tees with wind over water with a back right pin played almost 210 yards. My wife is handicapped, plays slowly, and still enjoyed the course as a 36 handicapper, while not holding anyone up We... More

Took an hour lesson with Don Moyer and it was a tremendous lesson! Don also took the time with me to go inside and do a video of my swing plus Don sent that video to my email address so that I can watch & learn as many times as I like. What a great feature that is !! The... More

The Marriott Golf academy is a very special place. The compound offers, putting greens, chipping areas, pitching areas great advice form experts such as Don. Over instruction was good however I noticed he gave more time to my husband than me. The course was fun to play.

I recently attended the three day golf school, learned a lot and had a great time. School is from 8:00 AM to noon followed by lunch in the clubhouse with the instructor. After lunch I golfed every day (9 holes) and then spent an additional hour to two hours at the practice facilities. The instructor was very good with video... More

We played at the Grande Vista Golf Club 3 times this past week. Initially you think, it's a 9 hole executive course, how hard can it be? 2,342 yds off the back tees, then 2,008 and 1,649. The first 3 are relatively straight forward, but they do get more difficult as they go on. The course is in immaculate condition... More

After a couple years of hacking the links I took the 3 day course with my instructor Dave. Dave and the other instructors have been there for many years and were part of the Faldo school that predated the Marriott School. There were 3 in my group/class (max is usually 4.) Instructor conduced a thorough swing analysis and provided excellent... More
