We went to GET OUT ESCAPE ROOM during CRAZY spring break week in Orlando. Every attraction off of International was "very busy" according to Yelp. My daughter loves escape rooms so I called around to find one to try. It was the luck of the Irish that they had an opening for 5:00 p.m. so I booked with a military discount for those that are eligible! Thank you Alex!

We arrived and signed our waivers and were able to enjoy the game with our friends and two smart teenage girls that had played before. The game is called Origins, is set in Egypt and we would later have the opportunity to Chat with the owner and creator of the game. You can tell that a lot of careful and interesting thought went into the puzzles and game story. We later noticed that all the rooms at this location are part of a connected storyline. Knowing that, we can't wait to bring our spouses and play again.

We watched a video that oriented us to the overall storyline, which involves alien technology and time travel... just enough sci-fi without getting too complicated for a short introductory video. We were also given a case holding a key component of our mission, which would take us to present-day Egypt and the Sphinx. It was so fun and satisfying to figure out a puzzle and it took all of us working together! Alex was impressed with our work! The ending is so cool, so don't be stingy about asking for clues if you want to see how the story ends! In the end my teenagers ages 16 and 14 had a really great time playing the game and it was fun to see them use their brain. My 16 year old was experienced at escape rooms and she loved this one. I was thrilled that my 14 year old had fun with something other than gaming in his computer! Thank you so much Alex!

This was my first escape room and I have to say the experience was amazing. There were 2 couples and we worked perfectly together. The staff was very helpful. We did ask for one clue and it helped tremendously. Look forward to going back for the next room and their future rooms. Thx, again Howie WE ESCAPED @ 52 min

This place is SO COOL

We have played both origins and escape artist at this point and the rooms are so well thought out, so imaginative and so unique compared to other escape rooms.

Once you leave the room it makes you want more!

We played origins on February 10th around 2 or 3 pm and our game host was nice, helpful and attentive and personable. (He was our host for both games and he actually recognized us the second time we played!)

All of the rooms are connected in some way but still playable by themselves.
As far as I know they only have two games built out of a possible five.
EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO HERE!!!
They need to build the other three rooms!

They do stuff that I’ve never seen, they are fun and give your brain a good mental workout.

Great way to spend an afternoon.

We drove over 45 minutes to do this escape room, and it was totally worth it. The kids would not stop talking about it the entire ride home.

What a wonderful addition the Orlando escape room market! We have completed over 40 escape rooms across Central Florida (and other areas as well) over the past several years, and this is definitely one that is worth visiting. We look forward to the next three rooms in the series.

PARKING:
It's free and right next to the front door. Plenty of room.

LOCATION: It's right across the street from Universal Studios, which is wonderful. However, you won't find it by driving by. It is in the same plaza at the Golden Corral -- you just have to drive around the building to the backside. Easy to find once you know where to look ... just like clues in the escape rooms. ;)

STAFF:
The owners and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a lengthy conversation about the rooms and escape rooms in general after our games, and they were kind enough to make suggestions for other local establishments to check out as well. Of note, this is not a chain escape room -- it is a mom-and-pop local establishment that put a lot of care and detail into their rooms.

OUR TEAM:
We completed "Origins" with two adults and two preteens (12-13 years old). We completed "Escape Artist" with one adult and two preteens (12-13 years old). One of the minors had only attempted one escape room previously. The other has completed at least 15.

OVERALL:
The experience was so great that after we finished "Origins" we stayed and played "Escape Artists" -- back to back escape rooms with an underlying theme, we couldn't resist!

"ORIGINS" AND "ESCAPE ARTIST":
From the moment you step into each room, you are immersed in the story lines. Rather than a simple "you have 60 minutes to escape" type video, they provide some story background not only about the room, but also about the underlying theme for all the rooms. Each one builds on the other -- but you can play the rooms in any order. That said, I am glad we finished "Origins" first and then completed "Escape Artist."

The puzzles were clever and provided good momentum, helping you move along through the rooms. There is little question about what to do next in most circumstances. Of course, if you get stuck, they are there to assist you with a monitor-based clue deliver system. There are unlimited clues, so don't be afraid to ask if you get stuck.

The special effects and triggers in each room were fascinating, surprising and enjoyable. The rooms are more than your average lock and key system, though there were plenty of locks to maneuver and decipher as well. The games themselves were not repetitive -- meaning, I did not feel as though we were completing the same room or the same puzzles twice. The types of games and puzzles and how they were executed were quite clever -- I had a few favorites in the "Escape Artist" that I won't mention so not to spoil the surprise.. Also, each of the puzzles and activities were part of the story line and were designed to advance the story. In short, we recommend both rooms quite highly!

Both of the preteens gave the rooms 5 stars each and had a great time. They begged to do the second room immediately after completing the first.

For frame of reference, we have completed all the rooms at Escape Artist (Sanford), most of the rooms at America's Great Escape, all of the rooms except one at Escape Game Orlando, 4 rooms at Escapology, one at Escape Goat, 4 at the now defunct It's A Trap!, one at Lockbusters, one at Escape U (St. Augustine), and a few others not in the area. These rooms are similar to Escape Artists (Sanford), Escape Goat (Winter Garden), and Escape Game Orlando as far as immersion and flow. However, the themes are different and are meant to build off of each other (unlike other escape rooms).

Good for skill levels of all types. Each room can fit up to 8, but 6 is probably the max you would want in any particular room.

The only real downside is that the games are not private, but that's because we prefer private games.

Overall, Get Out! is not an escape room to be missed.

My wife and I have done 5 escape rooms in the past. But this one is one of the tops. The creativity behind this one was great. Definetly recommend even for first timers.

One of my favorite escape games in the Orlando area, they have an amazing way of building their games so that they relate to each other. Large, intricate rooms with crazy puzzles and mind twisting riddles that make you and your party really work together. I definitely would recommend this to any family or group of friends that have an hour to spare and want to make an amazing memeory together!

We loved this!!! How in the world did they come up with this? We did Escape Artist and this room was definitely one of the best rooms I’ve ever been to. Everything made sense, the clues were amazing and the flow of everything was perfect. We had 7 people in our group and it was just enough, definitely helped us because there was so much to do! I can’t wait to do another one at this location. Alex and Matt were great! Thanks for everything guys.

Woooowww!! Those were the words I uttered once we escaped from our challenge. The escape room was very thought provoking and very intense, which made it intriguing. I shall be back with other ppl because this was definitely the best escape room I’ve done.

We have now done both games at Get Out and we are still left in awe at the detail that they put into their rooms. The story that they formulated really ties all the games together; making them a place that every escape enthusiast needs to visit. While Escape Artist was great, Origins holds a special place in our heart. After playing games across Orlando, Florida, and nearby states; Get Out has by far the best Egyptian styled room to date.

So, do yourself a favor, and come visit Get Out!
