Amazing museum so much to do! Very clean. Very staff. We would go back to this museum for sure. The dinosaur exhibit is the best

Was here for a business function
Oct 2021
Wife and I attended a business function here - it was just a catered customer appreciation dinner. I didn't even know the museum could be rented out for stuff like that. I just wanted to mention how cool the room was. We had a big banquet in the room with the dinosaur exhibits. The coolest part was they had a big screen showing a long view of our room and the tables and people, and then they had CGI dinosaurs wandering randomly around the room on the screen. That was a real hoot, so hats off to whoever did that!

Horrible customer service
Aug 2021 • Couples
Horrible customer service. Emily at the ticket booth is the worst. She has no customer service skills and tries to rudly interrupt you while you ask a question. The staff here overall is the worst. This place has gone way down hill. Needs better management. Much better places in town that offer better customer service to spend your money at. Avoid this mismanaged place.

There is so much to do for children of all ages. There are multiple levels and a wide range of activities that will fit any kids interests.

The dinosaurs are fantastic
Aug 2021 • Solo
I found this to be a chaotic experience. The little kids seemed to thrive on the setup, but there was not a good way to explore. The ticket window at the entrance was incredibly slow and unorganized. This is poor management. The dinosaur exhibit was large and very cool. My favorite part was the screen that superimposed dinosaurs walking the museum where people were sitting and watching.

The Roots cafeteria is quite good. Overall this is a very nice looking space.

A very nice science center
Sep 2020
Overall, I think this is a very valid indoor activity in hot sunny (sometimes rainy) Florida. At >$60 for two adults, one child, and one infant, it is one of the more expensive science centers we have been to around the USA. The disappointing part was that so many activities and areas were closed "due to covid precautions"... after all, this place is in Florida. Parking really was a breeze. We did the temperature checks and wore masks. There was ample staff throughout the museum. I thought their orange truck motorized exhibit was a blast for little kids. Actually, KidsTown and Kinetic Zone were both a blast and really worth the trip in itself. My kids loved all of the activities and truly ask to go back frequently. I liked that they had ample balls, handkerchiefs, and their water lever system is one of the best we have encountered. They had a special room in there where kids could choose their activity (mine chose insects in resin) and they were given boxes of drawing/coloring utensils to create. My children liked the virtual reality Dino Digs simulator where they could be part of a scene with interactive dinosaurs. Honestly, their favorite activity on that entire floor was the earthquake simulator, both kids loved shaking on that platform. A lot of the other rooms and activities were closed as I mentioned before. The elevator was fast to catch with a stroller, which was nice. They had a small amount of reptiles and fish in tanks on the lower level to round out the experience. I will definitely be returning when in Florida soon.

Too many attraction closures
Jun 2021
We went expecting a great experience and instead found many of the attractions were closed. The closures were not disclosed to us before we bought the tickets on site.

A fun day overall
Apr 2021
Lots of hands on exhibits for everyone, from dinosaurs to building blocks. Lots to see and touch and the kids will love it Very cool movies too. Unfortunately their coffee shop was closed. They have easy access parking lot and a very nice gift shop as well. We went on a cool day for Orlando and it was worth the admission price.

Family Fun and Safe too

We got lucky & saw a news report about the private before hours tour. It was WONDERFUL.

We got one on one access with a curator. They walked us through the animal exhibits, explained all sorts of things, answered our ?s & we got to meet some wonderful animal ambassadors. We loved everything about this tour. We helped feed various animals. We got to pet a skunk and a sloth. Surprisingly, Memphis was my hands down favorite & watching him eat cottage cheese was a blast. We got to take home some souvenirs from our tour, including 2 paintings by a very talented lizard. We then spent the next few hours roaming the 4 floors of the science center.

They had hands on activities, with lots of hand sanitizing stations. Masks are required. They had various films about different subjects. We lucked out again and it was feeding day for the snapping turtle, so we took time to watch that. Which was interesting in its own way. The science center is a little bit of everything & we enjoyed exploring the various exhibits. The upcoming Mars exhibit was looking interesting, but was still being put together when we were there. We learned about some different art techniques in the art gallery & how to make things in the maker lab - only wish the 3d printers were being shown when we there. We roamed the dinosaur & the weather & natural disaster exhibits.

It made for a lovely day & by mid afternoon we headed out with wonderful memories and pictures. The 10 & 12 yr old were engaged the entire time.

Not Much to Offer
Jan 2021
Very confusing. We went here for the Pompeii exhibit which was very lacking. The rest of the museum was only geared towards children while I wouldn't recommend the Pompeii exhibit for young children. After visiting the Pompeii exhibit, attended two IMAX movies and then left. Very pricey for what there is to do. I have been to many science centers and expected more from a major city like Orlando.
