The Pandora section of Animal Kingdom is a great new development. The work put into making this feel like the cloud city is incredible and the details are wonderful. You can walk through the area on defined paths and also enjoy the scenery while waiting in line for one of the two rides- the Na’vi river tour and the flights of wonder where you are “riding a banshee”. This is an excellent ride. In typical Disney fashion it is first rate all the way. The story goes you are riding on the back of a Banshee and flying through the jungles of the avatar. You sit on what I could best describe as a motorcycle type device, straddling it with handle bars. There is no motor or brakes, but the seating position reminds me of sitting on a sport bike. The seat fully articulates, leaning left and right and tipping forward and back as your Banshee navigates the jungle. It is similar in presentation to Soarin' if you are familiar with that, where they show a movie on screen in front of you and move you to simulate the flight experience. Definitely worth taking in if you are in Animal Kingdom. …

This ride starts on the outside while in line as you are transported into the world of Avatar. There is so much to look at while in line and LOTS of photo ops. The ride is unique and beautiful. It is just fine for children and just about anyone. Enjoy.
