Not as good as in the past

Visited during October and it has been almost a decade since our prior visit. Giving it a low rating for the following: visited during the food and wine festival, the food was just okay and limited in choices by country. Very pricey if you had a drink and not a lot of information on the drinks or food. Also not a lot of places to sit and enjoy it. Limited standing tables. If you did five samples with drink expect to pay over $100. It was roughly $20 per sample per person (food and drink). Seemed to be rushed to just get you through and out. Decent dinning was impossible to do unless you planned in advance and made reservations and the casual dining was all mobile app so difficult to do if you just wanted to do spur of moment purchase. New ride of Ratatouille was cut but no where near the level of other virtual rides and crazy that you needed a virtual que to just get on. New genie pass was not helpful at all in our opinion, however you need to buy the lighting pass if you want to go on all the key rides, otherwise you just stand in line. It is almost cheaper to travel to a foreign country than the amount paid for tickets, hotel and food.

Not geared for young ones
Oct 2021 • Family
Our visit times with the food and wine festival-definitely geared toward adults vs those with young ones. If you are traveling with kids, be sure to take advantage of KidCot. It’s a free activity where you collect cards about each of the 11 countries. Once all 11 are collected, you get a special post card. The cards provide some information about each of the different countries.
Not a lot of rides compared to other parks and only a full-day park if you plan to “eat and/or drink around the world”. We enjoyed the French pastries and Greek spanakopita the most.
Character sightings were more of a hit/miss here, but they were stationary and able to get distanced pictures; no parades/cavalcades like the other parks. There were several princesses out, as well as Mickey & Minnie that we saw.

Do not use the website to book a ticket for the next day. You won't get your ticket in time.

Don't use the website to book a ticket for the next day.
It doesn't tell you that they take 24 hours to process your ticket.
We booked and paid online for the next day late the night before. We then got an email saying our booking was being processed but could take up to 24 hours to get a confirmation.
Without the confirmation you can't get in.
Of course no one answers the helpline number and I couldn't cancel the ticket through our credit card because the payment was pending.
Nightmare!
We ended up going to Epcot. Paying the rip off additional $25 to park that they don't tell you about.
We spoke to the customer service representative outside the park who tried to tell it is in the small print about the 24hr processing and it is to stop credit card fraud...BS!
We ended having to buy new tickets and open a case file to take up with the customer service desk inside the park.
We did eventually get the confirmation at the end of the night and the rep filed a claim for us to get our money back.

My favorite park!
Aug 2021
Even with the construction, there is a lot going on here. Sadly the countries do not have individuals from the home countries working yet in a lot of cases, and merchandise is not as abundant. However, EPCOT seems to always have a festival going on - check the calendar and take advantage of those great festivals!

Disappointing
Oct 2021 • Friends
First, Epcot overall is great. Lots of exhibits, rides and activities for all ages. I love Epcot because of the world showcase of countries. Morocco is my absolute favorite. Imagine our disappointment when we discovered not one gift shop open in the entire Moroccan pavilion. Nothing. We knew about the Marrakesh Restaurant being closed after reading information on the Disney website but nowhere was there any mention that all the shops were closed. Not one gift ship. We asked one "cast member" or visitor services employee where we might find a gift shop in Morocco and were answered with a very bored "no idea." Another told us the area was closed for renovation and that she didn't have any information on a completion date. IMO, the Moroccan pavilion is the most authentic area at Epcot. Real craftsmanship. Beautiful tile work with exquisite geometric designs. As close to being there without the trip. We specifically go there for the unique gift items to bring home for ourselves and our friends. I'm glad I've been there several times before this to enjoy it. This trip was very disappointing - had we known nothing was happening at the Moroccan pavilion, we probably would have given Epcot the miss altogether.

Yes to the Food & Wine Festival!
Oct 2021 • Friends
You really should visit the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot! Rémy’s Ratatouille Adventure is cute and a must do! Remember to get in the ‘Virtual Q’ at 7am to get a spot thru the my Disney experience app. The foods/alcohol from around the world were fantastic! (I highly recommend Italy’s ravioli in an Alfredo sauce or Mac N Eatz!) The frozen rose is a must! I would return to this event!

adult fun
Sep 2021
We went during food and wine festival and it was lots of fun but most of what we ate wasnt as good as I thought it was going to be. My favorites were Frances Coq a van and creme brulee. Islands of fire had a delicious skirt steak with chimichurri and a corned beef dish with chips /cheese curds and fondue. Lobster roll in americas showcase was also good. Hawaiis spam hash wasnt bad either. Our absolute favorite ride was soarin, went on 4 times, its a hang gliding tour all over the world. I t really feels like your flying!!!! loved it!! Mission space was stupid , we did the easy green mission. The disney pixar movie short film festival in 4D is worth seeing, very cute. Lines at epcot were for the most part short waits. The plus side of going the last week of september is the low crowds/short lines and more tolerable weather. We got to see a preview of the new 50th anniversary fireworks show and it was spectacular!!! If you want to see all of epcot plus a little shopping I recommend two full days.

Very Disappointed
Sep 2021 • Friends
Tonight we saw the replacement for IllumiNations. We went in with an open mind and was excited to see something new, however it was severely disappointing. The show made no sense, was just random songs from random movies (what does the jungle book have to do with Epcot?) it was a mind boggling mess. This park is so special to so many people for so many reasons, and this show did nothing to capture that emotion or inspire you with what the park represents.

This show just felt like a commercial for Disney+, and for a company that prides itself on its storytelling, there wasn’t any. Please fix this, show us the Disney we know, one that prided itself on a show and story.
