Solomon's Castle in Ona, Florida's woodsy country setting is truly a one off. Sadly Howard Solomon has passed but, his devoted family continue to conduct tours of his unique castle, very gifted & often whimsical artistry as well as his wonderful collection of antique vehicles....More

This was a nice place to visit. We took the guided tour inside the castle and that was worth the money. The guide was a really funny woman. She made the tour perfect. They have a cafe at "the boat in a moat". We did...More

What a great way to spend an afternoon with friends! One feels like you're walking right down that 'yellow brick road' into a magical fantasy land. The Castle ls filled with Howard Solomon's funny, silly and so creative artwork from stained glass, to paintings to...More

Interesting and unique place to visit for a one day get away. The guide was humorous and knowledgeable about the history of the creator of this exhibit. Worth the time to experience this.

Fun family visit. I would not recommend for children 5 and under. Very interesting artwork and history of the castle.

Before I went, I thought I was going to see a castle, but it's more like seeing the "art" that Howard Solomon created. It would have been fine to walk through on your own. But listening to the tour guide with the corny stories, was...More

One man transformed this isolated area into a tourist attraction. The man had an imagination and skill that are truly exceptional. The food served in the moat was plentiful and tasty and they also offered economical souvenirs. I visited the castle with a large good...More

If you enjoy creativity and corny-ness it is a place to go. It is Old Florida in a "Ripley's Believe It or Not" kind of way. We were laughing - groaning?- at terrible puns by the guide throughout the tour of the castle. Not for...More

We were looking for something to do, and somehow found out about Solomon's Castle. It was about a 90 minute drive from Tampa, and completely worth it. It's great to see one man's genius and passion, as well as a few collections from other like-minded...More
