My daily walk during my month stay every year in Ocklawaha. Peaceful, lovely and quiet. Lots of deer and turkeys and tons of squirrels. Saw a wildcat of an armadillo this year too. Great month to visit Carney.

This time of year this place is a fun visit. We came over on New Year's Day. Not many people and a beautiful day. We did the 4 mile trail loop and then had a Picnic.

Lake Weir recreation and Conservation Area attracts boaters, home owners and bird watchers to the unique Marion County venue. Hunting is not allowed in the conservation area of Lake Weir because of the blend of homes and recreation opportunities. Fine dining opportunity at Eatons Beach as well as casual Sand Bar refreshment and food offerings at Gator Joe's water side... More

Five dollars and the honor system during the week. not a bad price to pay for an amazing little gem just down the road from The Villages, and around the corner from Belleview. I was impressed by cleanliness of the facilities, the neat little grills and tables, benches, trails. And of course, I found a perfect spot to fish -... More

This park has a beautiful picnic area, huge boat ramp with floating dock, restrooms, trails and 2 playgrounds. Appeared to be well kept. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to walk on any of the trails but we might be back. The user fee of $7.00 was very high for my taste since state parks in the area are only... More

My Husband and I love this little spot. Very peaceful and tranquil, I highly recommend it. There is a $7 parking fee, but it's worth it if you make a day out of it. There are plenty places to grill, sit and trails to walk.
