Had a great trip fishing with Captain Jim this week! Our kids, 7 and 10, like to fish and were excited to try to catch our lunch. Captain Jim was patient and helpful and took us to a great spot. In the first hour, we caught more than enough sea trout to fill our bellies. We also caught skipjack, mackerel,... More

Even though the wind didn't cooperate we had a great afternoon with Captain Jim. We were a large group of 10, so we split in half with Captain Jim and Captain Jimmy. We caught a few fish, and we saw wild manatees and dolphins up close for the first time. Highly recommend! We will head out again with them when... More

Our group (4 adults and two kids ages 9 and 10) went out with Captain Jim on March 30 and had the time of our lives. The Captain really knew where to go to find the fish. Over the course of three hours, the two kids (who had never fished before) caught at least 16 fish. In addition, we were... More

Full day with captain Jim. Morning with the Grand kids for shelling and exploring. That didn't go well as the 1 year old had a melt down. Not Jim's fault. In the afternoon the big kids (30 somethings) and grand pa went out. Skip the hype for a "Cheeseburger in Paradise" at Cabbage key.....it's a tourist trap now with very... More

Great day fishing with Captain Rob leaving from Tween Waters Marina. Our group had 5 women and Captain Rob made us feel welcome and we had a blast! The trip started with Captain Rob asking us what we wanted to to accomplish, and we all quickly told him we wanted to have fish for dinner and a great time. He... More

Captain Jim and CJ were great guides and gave us history of the various islands. We caught plenty of snapper and trout to keep and take to the Lazy Flamingo to prepare. Couldn't keep up with the black tip sharks as we caught over 40 of them. Thanks for a great trip!

We have used Santiva saltwater fishing for many years. They have always been great. They are very knowledgeable. They will always put you on the fish. This time we caught lots of Lady fish. Yes, bait fish for bigger fish. We also caught lots of black tips shark, lemon shark, nurse shark, and even a sting ray. I would recommend... More

Every July my wife, brother-in-law, and I travel down to Captive for the fourth-of-July weekend. Every year, we consistently used Santiva Fishing for a 3 or 4 hour fishing charter. The past two experiences have taught us that this year, it is time to move on to a different company. The problem is not with the boats or equipment used,... More

Great charter with Jimmy Jr even though tarpon were quiet. Kept us on the hunt, well equipped, personable and safe outing in heat of Florida summer. Shark battle for my wife with a 60lb black-tip was our highlight but a great day all around. Dal was dynamite in answering questions and helping us get set over 6 months ago. We... More

Wish I could give them zero stars. I booked a fishing trip 6 weeks ago before flying to Captiva Island for a family vacation. We had our gear & lunches packed and walking to the car when the guide calls me 20 minutes before the trip to tell me he's flaking out because of an eye infection. Uh dude, you... More

I am sorry that your trip was canceled on short notice. First, let me clarify that you were scheduled with Capt. Shawn Kelly who is not a member of the Santiva Saltwater Fishing Team. We set the trip up as a referral only because our guides were booked. Capt. Shawn has his own listing on Trip Advisor, Tarpon Snook Redfish,... More
