I LOVE old churches, so when we stayed at Jensen's Twin Palms Cottages & Marina we walked on over to see this church. We had heard of the "outside" services before, but there was a book in our room that gave us much more history...More

We like to go to this quaint chapel in December. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It is very pleasant. We like to visit the cemetery and visit the graves. People leave seashells on the head stones. it fits right in with this very laid...More

Attend services every time we are here. Services at 11:00 am. Inside and outside seating. The Pastor sticks his head out of the window to address those sitting outside. The church is involved in many local charities. Friendly congregation! All are welcome!

Next to Captiva's Library, also a very well kept secret, the cemetery reveals a more realistic side of Captiva than the multimillion dollar homes, ocean access and great seashell hunting. There is some history here. People actually live here and settled here. Very small, but...More

This building is the original schoolhouse on Captiva. It was transformed into a very picturesque chapel that still functions today. Adjacent is a graveyard for some of the founding fathers of the island and their relatives.
