We took the cruise on the Lady Chadwick to Cabbage Key ( home of the restaurant that inspired Jimmy Buffett to write cheeseburger in paradise!) and Useppa Island. Left at 10:00 am. Hour to destination. SO MANY DOLPHINS it was spectacular. Staff was amazing. Narration was very funny but very informative. Note: if you want more nature and a great... More

The 5-hour Captiva Island Cruise for which I opted was a wonderful experience. Great opportunity for families and/couples to enjoy a leisurely boat ride to and from some of the beautiful private islands dotting the Gulf. You can also have lunch at one of the island stops ...like Useppa ...and do a bit of exploring before returning to the boat... More

We took the catamaran cruise from McCarthy's Marina to Cayo Costa Park with about 18 other people on the boat. The beach is absolutely wonderful, deserted and full of shells. There was a low tide and I collected around 20 conch shells and a variety of lightening whelks, plus some other harder to find shells. It was 2 hours on... More

My wife and I took the day cruise to Useppa Island. The crew were just great, with everyone so helpful and entertaining. With hot and cold drinks and snacks onboard, we had a full and interesting commentary throughout, but it was not overdone - factual and entertaining. We spent a lovely couple of hours or so on the island, toured... More

We turned up without a reservation and got onto the 16:30 sunset cruise. It was only around $30 each for an hour on the water. The vessel was excellent, not too crowded and the staff were excellent, really passionate and obviously enjoy their jobs! We saw a dolphin, a manatee and loads of ospreys. The sunset was absolutely perfect.

My kids (ages 7 and 9) and I went on the "I love shelling cruise" in November and it was fantastic! Pam was super energetic and friendly and knowledgable. She gave us tips on how to find the coolest shells and helped us once we got to the island (a beach only accessible by boat). My kids had a great... More

We sailed with Captiva Cruises on a beautiful sunset cruise out of South Seasons marina with George and Ruben. They were a very professional and knowledgeable crew to say the least. We sailed out into the Gulf along the Captiva coast and were treated to an awesome sunset and very enjoyable sail. This was our second cruise with George and... More

We had a group of 14 on the catamaran cruise and had a blast. The wind was light but we still managed to sail without the motor for a spell. A family of 4 from Europe were with us and were heading home the next day. The captain kept us out an extra 15 minutes to make sure they saw... More

Captiva Cruises does a super job! We decided the night before to sign up for the cruise to Cabbage Key and you do this online. So glad we did. We aren't boaters and have few opportunities to be out on the water so we are easy to please. Think of it as an exciting water taxi ride! The captain did... More

Nice quick trip to Cayo Costo island - mostly wildlife preserve, few "grandfathered" homes. Captain & mate were kind, helpful, informative, a hoot and full of information. They got the dolphins to follow our wake for excellent pictures. They found shells and gave them out, and pointed out the live tiny clams so we knew what to look for. Great... More
