We are lucky enough to live across the street from this park. There is camping available and lakes to fish in. We bring our dog there to run around, it's almost always empty. Very clean and just a perfect example of rural Florida.

FYI, Pasco County Commissioners are trying to build a road through the Preserve which will cut off access to the JB Starkey Preserve. Please contact Pasco County to help stop this.

I love to walk or run at Starkey Park. There are a whole lot of forested areas and open areas. There is plenty of parking and there are enough people around so that you don't feel isolated but not so many that you feel crowded.

Unfortunately, no. This is one of those parks that have "park" in the name, but the only rentals are cabins and tent sites. There are some great hiking trails. There are a lot of points for wildlife viewing as well. If you... More
