Beautiful (if cool) day. Went on the Conservancy's lunchtime boat tour to Isles of Capri and Rookery Bay with lunch at Pelican Bend. Captain and naturalist guide both excellent. Saw dolphin and many birds of many different species. Easy approx. 3 hour trip.

Weve just renewed our membership in the Conservancy. This is just an incredible organization. Not only do they offer some illuminating boat rides into and on the Gordon River, but they offer a rich variety of activities to their over 600 volunteers. The duties range...More

If you want to learn about the environment in the area go here. This is an animal rescue next to the zoo. After seeing the exhibits, we took the included boat ride which goes through a mangrove and was very educational. Glad to help support...More

We have gone here each year we visit Naples and are never disappointed. The staff are mostly dedicated volunteers. We always enjoy the small river ride and sometimes luck out and see lots of birds. Wonderful care for injured wildlife.

We took our 7 year old. Amazing place for us, too hot for her and the indoor exhibits only held her attention for so long. Boat ride was great (thank you Captain Ed!) and we learned a lot. Heads up: book your boat as soon...More

This was our second visit. It's reasonably priced and so is the gift shop. The reptile talk was excellent for both kids and adults. The volunteer at the touch tank was terrific in sharing interesting facts with my teens. Definitely do the boat tour, very...More

34 passengers and 4 volunteer crew boated the waters of Rookery Bay for an “echo cruise.” To passengers with little exposure to/knowledge of nature it seemed informative. For those more knowledgeable, the narratives were too elementary to be informative. It was fun to see Osprey...More

The short presentation on what they do here with treating injured animals and birds is fascinating. We didn't get to see any babies being treated and hope to go back for the boat ride,

This cruise was just Okay. The captain and volunteer narrator were clearly at odds. She could do nothing right, narrating, using the microphone, or using the correct ropes to tie the boat. No instructions were given when we landed the boat for lunch (how much...More

The Conservancy is an essential visit for those spending time in Naples. Most recommended are the Kayaks which allow you to venture out into the Gordon river with little or no other boats to spoil your day
