The peak season in Naples is from around Christmas to Easter. During the time, many snow birds from the northern states flock to Naples for the warm and sunny weather. However, It is like off season at Corkscrew Swamp in February. We saw only one...More

We loved it here! We visited on thanksgiving so it was very quiet with no queues. We walked a short distance and realised that we should have said yes to binocular hire so went back to get some! You have to wait patiently to see...More

Thank you for the review. We're glad you had a good visit on Thanksgiving. Good advice about the binoculars; they really do enhance birding efforts. We try to advise guests that there are no bathrooms on the boardwalk and to make use of the facilities...More

Luck was on our side with our visit. Saw birds I had never seen before, up close and it was an amazing experience. I will return every time we visit Naples.

I visited Corkscrew about 15 years ago with my kids, loved it then and loved it again now by myself. You’re on a boardwalk pretty much the whole time, it’s a 2.5 mile loop, but walking slowly and watching the wildlife - it’s easy to...More

This is not to be missed. Take a stroll along the Winding 21/4 mile boardwalk,. many, many plant varieties, birds and an alligator or two, depending on the time of year. Old Florida at its best.

Thank you for the great review. Old Florida is a nice compliment. Audubon has been protecting this old-growth bald cypress forest since 1954. And, being a sanctuary, things stay pretty much as they were.

Easy 2.25 mile walk through an old growth Bald Cypress swamp with many wild animal sightings, including birds, insects, mammals and reptiles.

Fantastic and exotic place to visit along or with the whole family. Better to go in any season of the year because each season has something special.

Thanks for the 5-star review. It's true: The sights here are always changing, depending on the season, weather, hydrology. Always a lot of fascinating things to see.

Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary has a wonderful miles long boardwalk that passes through multiple habitats in a location that is full of bird life. The boardwalk makes walking very easy, and seems to reduce the wariness of the birds. We had many close views of birds...More

Thanks for the 5-star review. Audubon's Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary attracts birders from around the world. We're glad you are among them.

A lovely place to take your family for a walk through natural Florida swampland. (Which is typically not possible). Because the boardwalk is high above the ground, it gives you the opportunity to go into a natural habitat for many bird and animal species, but...More

We walked on the 2 mile boardwalk with Audubon Volunteer Russ for the 10:30 tour - it was a fantastic learning experience- lasting about 2 hours. We saw the “old Florida” environment with numerous animals and birds.

There were guided tours and very informative; we went at it alone and it was about 2 hours plus, lots to read and see and worth every minute. Plan on about 3 hours, there is so much to take in!
