What a great day to see beautiful birds and awe in the cypress trees of awesomeness. The staff at the gift shop are pleasant and I purchased a locally made piece of jewelry.

Sshhhh! The quieter you are, the more likely you are to see a red-shouldered hawk, baby alligator or handsome wood stork. Corkscrew Swamp is well worth the 30-mile drive (east) from Naples. There are surprises around every corner, and the guides and volunteers out on...More

The weather was hot and humid but that is Florida in the summer. This park has a level, raised 2-3 mile boardwalk (depending on if you take each optional side trail). We saw a mother gator and her half-dozen babies. Several large cranes, hawks, woodpeckers...More

Thank you for the review. That mother gator and her babies near the North Lettuce Lake have been a popular visitor sighting these past couple weeks.

Corkscrew Swamp is so much more than a valuable parcel of land that is being preserved by the Audubon Society. In two hours time you can walk the boardwalks through three different ecosystems. You'll see ancient trees, a river of grass, lettuce lake, and all...More

Thanks for visiting so often. You are correct about the range of wildlife sightings ... seasons and weather and time of day are all factors. So each trip out here is likely to provide a new experience. Even when the animals aren't abundant, the trees...More

Our guide, Keith, was amazing and the amount of knowledge he had of this area, plants, trees and animals was amazing. We were able to see many different species of plants and animals, including the ghost lily! Go early as it gets hot during the...More

There were guided tours and very informative; we went at it alone and it was about 2 hours plus, lots to read and see and worth every minute. Plan on about 3 hours, there is so much to take in!
