We had never heard and even less been to Mount Dora, Florida. However when some friends recommended it to us as a great place to look for vintage furniture and antiques, we decided to couple a trip to Disney with a short extension to Mount...More

Spent two nights and three days with a girlfriend at this lovely old Florida town. We parked the car at the inn when we arrived and never moved it. The town is small enough to walk to the restaurants and shops. Good shops and restaurants...More

Sit by the water for a smoothing, tranquil breather. Then have a bite too eat at a myriad of restaurants featuring a wide selection of cuisines. Visit the quaint shops--everyone here is friendly and courteous

What a beautiful lake. We rented a pontoon boat and had a lovely day. If you plan on staying a while, the down town waterfront area has great shops and is very dog friendly

This lake is full of cocodriles, you better watch out! Nice views from different places. We liked the town and houses around too, very nice to take pictures! Pet friendly too!

Beautiful place. So calm and peaceful. The water is vast and serene. The local homes and churches are amazing and the extremely friendly and boutique shops/owners are amazing... just be aware, the shops close around 1600hrs. A must see, off the beaten track.

The nature walk starts right past the little picnic area that is down from the lighthouse. I know they have been redoing a lot of the boardwalk down further. When I was there a few weeks ago there were 3 gators out sunning... More
