We are a small Garden, just 2.6 acres, with a very big mission! We call ourselves an urban oasis in the middle of the glitz and neon of South Beach, a place where locals and visitors can come and enjoy the numerous cultural and artisitic programs that the Garden has to offer. Created as a Miami Beach city park in 1962, the Garden was rejuvenated in the fall of 2011 with a $1.2 Million landscape renovation by acclaimed South Florida landscape architect Raymond Jungles. We invite you to discover the new features of the Garden – a wetland with red mangrove and pond apple trees, an expansive water garden with cascading oolite fountain, a welcoming entrance plaza, and diverse collection of flowering trees, palms, cycads, orchids, bromeliads and Florida native species.

This was a relaxing walk in Miami Beach. While not large it is worth stopping to walk through. Free to enter and very family friendly.

We walked around a few blocks from our hotel, there was construction and the short cut was blocked by the city. It is next to the Holocaust museum and there is no fee. It is a small Botanical garden but amazingly well planned to fit...More

It was well worth the time spent (apx. 2h). Although only a bit over 2 acres, there is plenty of vegetation to see, enjoy and learn about. The highlight of our visit was having Gaylord volunteering to give us a guided tour and sharing his...More

We had a late afternoon flight after a cruise and didn’t want to spend endless hours at the airport. We found this while searching online. It was 15 minutes from the port and about 20 to the airport. We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day exploring...More

I went to the Botanical Garden after visiting The Bass Museum (a 10min walk or short Uber ride from each other). Lovely gardens, depending on how much time you have, you can either breeze through in 30 minutes or take your time and relax in...More

Absolutely amazing place with a fantastic staff. Less than a month after the hurricane the park was back to normal. The gardens were amazing, and one of the staff members gave me an impromptu tour. This Botanical Garden is especially great because it sits right...More

This is a very beautiful Botanical Garden, that is good if you are looking for somewhere to visit, & you don't have a lot of time. We did not take any tours, but just meandered around at our own pace. We did, however, use bug...More

Whilst the gardens are not massive they are a great place to stop in for a visit. One of the employees who runs tours was very informative and gave us great information about the gardens and surrounding areas while we were visiting the city. We...More

So sorry you didn't love our Garden the way most people do (see hundreds of other very positive reviews). We note in passing that you reviewed 5 other sites in Miami Beach and did not much of what you saw or ate, including the Holocaust...More

Thanks for inquiring about the Garden. No we do not have any motorized wheelchairs for rent (I don't know of any South Beach facility that does, actually) but we are a small Garden and the terrain is very flat, so it is easy... More
