We were staying right across the street from the public access walkway. Was a short walk and we were right by Sunset Grille which is really the only place you can get food/drinks, so we brought our own each day. The Gulf was gorgeous, some people were snorkeling for shells. I brought my paddleboard and ended up paddling with dolphins... More

This is a very nice beach, but plan to bring your own umbrella, chair and other accessories to enjoy the experience. Shoes are recommended, because there are quite a few shells mixed with the sand. There is room for a nice long beach walk, so good exercise options. Parking is limited. In fact, we were not able to find any... More

This beach is stunning - one of the most beautiful in the U.S., if not the world. We've returned repeatedly because of the views. That said, we noticed this year that there are more noisy college spring breakers, and much looser enforcement of safety standards for boats and jet skis in close to the beach. Marco Island needs to beef... More

A beach this beautiful, with clean golden sand wouldn't be free anywhere else. It's so wide and long that there is always plenty of room to lay back and enjoy the space. There are a couple of bars and restaurants you can use or the residents facilities if you have a pass - they are really nice. Spend all day... More

On of the world's top beaches: broad, white soft sand, beautiful shells to collect, quite few people at all times! This is why you should visit Marco Island. Else, the island offers not much (good hotels, limited choice of average restaurants at best, few other distractions). Water is shallow with soft sand too and you can snorkel to find sand... More

South Marco Beach is beautiful! White sand, Blue water...what more can you ask for? There is public parking across Collier Blvd for $8 which is a bargain, and also a Grill restaurant that is excellent..I suggest the Tuna Eggrolls and. Raspberry Mojito!

We had a great time on the beach with our young children (7, 4 and 1). We saw dolphins every day at the beach. If you are looking to collect shells I would recommend the south end of the beach by the rocks. Make sure to bring a beach umbrella for shade.

This is a perfect beach to watch the sunset. There is $8 parking available on the other side of the beachside hotels, and the beach is made up of a white firm mildly coarse sand. It's a beautiful beach, and is a great place to swim in the Gulf of Mexico.

Thank RogWyatt
